We talked in depth on this thread of the hitting master. Him and Kirby Puckett the gods.

I like the Tyler White move, we waited too long to move him and sold way lower then we had to. I’m just glad we got at least a bag of Doritos at the minimum.

Maybe the Dajers hand us another Yordan Alvarez :wow:

Give up Forest for him boys? Bum ain’t walking through our door because Luhnow is smart enough not to pay that old man a bunch of $$$$ he’s looking for. We need another replacement for when Cole skates for the $$$

Bay Area
I can't wait to return to the Bay Area to watch some of these Giants and A's games since both teams are HOT right now (I'm currently in NY for the summer). If you're the Giants, would you go all in and try to make the playoffs this season? Or sell all of your valuable relievers/starters and set your farm up for years to come?

The market is cold as free agency

Giants are only being offered third level prospects

I don't think it's wise for them to try and go all in when the best they'll do is make the wild card play in game. You're then likely facing Max Scherzer unless the Nationals win the division.

Gwynn’s numbers vs maddux alone are crazy(415/476/521)he only struck out 3x in a game once in his career and the highest k’s he ever had in a season was 40.
I know Tony Gwynn is an all time great but I will never understand why more players don't try and do what he did. I'm tired of the game being basically home runs or strikeouts. Put the ball in play, get on base, make the pitcher work.

I'd go in but wouldn't sell off anything valuable from the farm system for help. The compensation pick they'll get if Bum signs elsewhere will probably be worth more than whatever they'll get if they deal him.

We gotta remember too that they definitely were not the favorites going into their 2010 & 2012 WS runs. They would not have won in 2014 either if Bum didn't put them on his back and go god mode. Just get in and hope for the best.
