Bullshyt. Within the black community. They DO face colorism. Outside of the black community. We ALL face racism. So what are u talking about? Imagine bringing this dumb ass conversation to Malcolm X or Huey Newton. Lol
we’re not talking about racism, we’re talking about colorism.

I want you to look outside the black disapora, look at how darkness is vifiled, yet light skin or white skin is not.

Indians are perfect example because they based an entire caste system on the shade of skin color, with the darkness being at the bottom.

In the Philippines, you hardly ever see dark or brown skin Filipino being broadcasted on TV. It’s always someone light skinned

How soon before some start claiming light-skinned people as not being black, regardless of whether or not both parents are black? Because that is the direction this is going. :francis:
The influx of Africans and Caribbeans being confused about bimodal race structure, feeling threatened by LS people, and getting "revenge" on elites in their home countries by going on weirdo campaigns. It's mainly a female thing.

nikka like I said. In the BLACK community. Lighter skin blacks definitely experience colorism. shyt them same darker skin people in other communities will be racist toward ANY black person of any complexion. So I don't give a fukk about what they doing. But within the black community. Damn straight lighter people experience colorism. No way around it. Dark skin girls have an issue with the light skin girls and that's usually because the dark skin nikkas have an issue with the dark skin girls. The shyt is all self hate. Our whole entire background is different than them other communities so we ain't got shyt to do with that. But when u got an influx of people saying lighter skin black people ain't even black. Despite having 2 black parents. That's a fukking problem.

People should stop attributing positive stereotypes to colorism crybabies.
External Colorism is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS for DS black men, internal colorism is still somewhat dangerous for ls black males.
Africans from THIS SITE lie and say people are mixed. Especially begging refugees from kenya.

They don’t

Now I want to ask you where that resentment comes from? Almost as if a oppressive system is causing internal strife.

They do. nikka where u from? Theres even dark skin girls who don't participate in that bullshyt who will admit this. shyt my aunt is light skin with long hair and back in the day girls cut all her hair off in school. And she in her 60s now. This shyt been going on forever. shyt ive even seen this shyt happen between blood SISTERS. Anf families. In both ways. And most of this conversation is based around women cause women participate in it the most. And of course it's cause these crackers did a number on the black community to divide us. But muthafukkas play right into it and don't realize it. But u ain't finna tell me some shyt I seen wit my own eyes my whole life don't exist. No way.

They don’t, we can go back and forth but the truth will always be that they don’t. And yes because your experience is isolated and does not account for everything else taking place in this twisted society.

A close friend of mine is a prominent advocate for black male studies, I remember him telling me that light skin black men faced lesser sentences than dark skin black men. Which I initially thought was ridiculous until he linked me this exact study and I went down a rabbit hole.

Multiple studies demonstrate the impact of skin color
on sentencing, with lighter-skinned black people often receiving more lenient treatment and darker-skinned black people receiving more punitive sentences. For instance, when controlling for the type of offense, so- cioeconomic status, and demographic indicators among
a subset of incarcerated men in Georgia from 1995 to 2002, dark-skinned black men received prison sentences a year-and-a-half longer—and the lightest-skinned black men about three-and-a-half months longer—than their white counterparts.84 A 2015 study of men facing first- time felony charges found that darker-skinned black men received sentences that were, on average, 400 days longer than their white counterparts, while medium-skinned black men received sentences about 200 days longer than their white counterparts. On average, black men received a sentence 270 days longer than white men.85

The problem is people are confusing who gets it worse to whether light skin people get it at all. Yea. Darker skin people get it worse. But that doesn't mean light skin people don't get it. That's ridiculous.

nikka what u linked to me is racism. Medium skin, dark skin, light skin. This shyt stupid as fukk. They ALL got larger sentences than crackas. People don't even have a clear definition of what they consider light skin. This conversatuonbin itself is some cracker shyt. I'm speaking on colorism within our community. It goes both ways. No other way about it.

That is colorism and racism, both are not exclusive to one another. Dark skinned black men were given longer sentences than their light skinned brothers, even though both parties are black. Explain that to me?

I need more data than that small single state study. Like I said. Noone said darker people don't experience it worse. But light skin blacks ALSO experience it. ESPECIALLY within our community. And to deny it is ludicrous. This shyt ain't a damn contest.

Mind you, I also said light skin folks experience awful things but it’s not colorism. I do feel bad for folks in the middle of the color spectrum since their always forgotten.

But I digress, I recommend actually reading the entire article and going from there, it’s very interesting.

Light skinned black men with bachelors degrees are preferred more than dark skinned black men with bachelors degrees because their seen as more intelligent.

This isn’t a contest but reality

it is the voice of the masses, the tens and hundreds of millions of normal people that support that "hollywood shyt". that makes it what it is.

most famous female rappers .. nicki, cardi ...

most famous black actresses .. well let's just say - Viola Davis Says She's Lost Roles Due to Colorism

:hubie:
Viola Davis is not attractive and it's NOT because of her complexion. Alot of these women use colorism and to a lesser extent featurism as a manipulation tool.

Colorism exists, but let's be for real, if a dark skin woman is attractive she's not hurting for options in men, maybe in other things like pageants or the same thing men deal with. And alot of times they themselves go for light skin or white because they can be as insecure as dark skin guys who go for light or white.

If some of these people valued themselves the way they value and covet other people half their problems would be solved. And they dont have to put other people down to do it either.

I'm also not oblivious to the arrogance of alot of light skin/mixed people in some places either. It's never light and dark or black and white.
