I used to want the dope luxury vehicle but then I smartened up. Most people are paying for their vehicles out of their salary. The smart way to do it is to have an asset that pays for it.

Right. If I ever buy another luxury vehicle, an asset will pay for it. There’s no way I’m paying $600/mo + fuel + insurance + maintenance off salary alone. That’s ass backward.

For what? To impress some bird? Or to make some other nikka envy me? I'm good on that.

Silently stacking.

The amount of people paying for a car they can't even use in the current climate gotta hurt
My car cost me $164 a month in car payments. I hardly feel it.
Paid my car off last month...

:blessed:

I intend to keep this car until it disintegrates...
Must be nice. I'll probably be paying on my car for the full 4.5 years. 2.99% APR on at the time $9K with a $10K down payment. I still owe about $8k. I actually take the full payment out every check and save the extra amount in a high yield savings account. Right now I treat that as an emergency fund but in the future as it continues to build if I so feel like it I'll be able to pay the car off in one fell swoop. Should be about half way into the loan.

Naw the down payment really reduces the monthly payment.

That as well but good credit helps majorly because u can haggle with them and lenders will give u excellent finance rates. My wife got her crappy 2016 Nissan with no money down and only $315.

when i had shytty credit back in 2009, i put $3k down on my fusion and still had to pay $460 due my credit and the rates i was approved for.

Bad credit probably means going to a Buy Here Pay Here place and if so your payments will be a nightmare.

I'd never again buy a car with no money down. That's just a quick way of getting upside down on a car loan. The depreciation will likely outpace your payments in the first few years.
