BulletProof
Just a B@stard Living in a Suit
For some time now, AI has been beginning to put music through an existential crisis.
But I dont know if it's at point yet where someone like Paul McCartney, a fukking Beatle, can responsibility lend it credibility like this.
Especially considering he's not using one of his own lost old recordings. Im sure there are plenty of Beatles era Paul tracks that he can restore into a complete song. He can use AI so it'll sound like the 60s in his prime Paul is singing it. That could be his way of contributing to the future.
Bur he's using John's
This is move that is reminiscent of why the Beatles really broke up in the first place. Paul trying to make executive calls without the other band members consent.
Personally, I never liked hearing demos for the most part or expanded anniversary releases with demo tracks. There's generally a reason why things are left on the cutting room floor.
If he would have wanted it released in any fashion, an artist on Lennon's level, would have reworked it to something he felt merited it.
At least it's coming from Paul. Theres only two people that this can be considered acceptable from.Him or Yoko, his two biggest partners, people them knew him better than anyone instead of a stranger looking to exploit him.
I dont think John, would dig the whole AI thing. I think he would pick out where it sounded synthetic, soulless, and artificial.
Kind of defeats the purpose and spirit of early Rock & Roll
