Never mind they are using ai tools to remove instruments which is what lots of producers use.. there’s websites and apps that let you do that for free. They just used ai in the article for views

Although this is more of a Beatles-produced posthumous John Lennon song it’s still cool to see a new song added to their catalog in 2023. There were some amazing remixes of this on YouTube. I presume that the official release would result in some DMCA takedowns …. Hopefully I saved them somewhere

nonetheless I bought it and will also buy the physical CD, preferably in person at a store though

I get that Yoko gave them the demo but I just don't fukk with using AI to replicate or recreate human art. The track isn't bad, you can tell it could have become a good song if completed. And the parts that were added, like the very classic Beatles-esque strings, all work. But still...this shouldn't exist lol. Could have just released the demo, or let Paul and Ringo remake it themselves.

I saw a tweet from some guy who was talking about how odd it is that he has now heard a Beatles song that his parents, who were huge Beatles fans before they passed away years ago, never got to hear. It's a wild thing to think about but at the same time...how are we defining these things. Technically it's not a Beatles song. Are we cool with the labels or loved ones of legendary artists handing unfinished demos to AI in order for it to "complete" the track? Where does that road end? I'm not liking the answers.

From my understanding the claim is that they've used new tech to clean some vocals, I get what you're saying but I don't think this is the same as AI created, I fux with the track, considering half the band is still around, it's a decent final send off, it ain't like Lennon is screaming Gggggg-unit !!!
