Just wanted to finally post one of a one rep max that I got on camera. :lupegarvey:

Don't think I've uploaded a workout clip in about 9 years, so I figured I'd use it as my first opportunity to use an editor. :ld:

Will surely get flagged for that song but I'd have to cop Filmora to re-do it. :francis:

I can only bench 315 with a spotter...But I rarely go over 275 I usually prefer higher volume work and stick to 225 and below and my preferred workout is the db flat and incline press so salute to you bros who are beasting way above 300.

Question: I am trying to get to a 1RM of 315. It's currently around 295 but I feel like I am starting to plateau with my workouts a lil bit.

Chest days consist of 5x5 workouts where I incrementally go up every 2 weeks. I have heard that switching to 3x12 workouts might get me over the hump. Is there any truth to this in y'alls opinion?

Im doing 3x3 currently on the squats,dls & bench. Did 5x5 before, then 3x5 for a while, now 3x3. Progress is great, maybe give it a shot

No, 3x12 would be good for a deload. 3x3 or 5x3 would be better if you're trying to get stronger.
Try benching with a 2 second pause and static holds

Just now seeing this post. Yeah, since I've been cutting my bench has went down 10 pounds :mjcry: I'm fighting hard to keep it from falling lower than that.

Aren't smith machines not counted by heavy gym enthusiasts because of the track and lack of stabilization muscles usage? :jbhmm:
Pro bodybuilders use machines. Even though stabilization muscles aren't used, it helps lifters to focus on the primary muscles with heavier weight. I'm always seeing bodybuilders using Hammer Strength machines.

The first time I got up 405 I thought I was the Incredible Hulk, :russ:. Nothing is worse than banging out a crazy number, at least what you think is crazy, like 405, then having some bodybuilder ass dude hit the bench behind you that throws up 535 like it's normal

I cant wait to see 490 lbs for 8 reps :wow:

After I embarrass this young man and take his money you can get the smoke too on the 490. I do this shyt, weight lifting and boxing and rapping and whoopin on nikkas, only 4 things I've ever been good at, lol

BUT if you truly bench 490 8 reps (:mjlol:) then you are serious enough in the gym to go to a LA fit expo or more importantly Olympia... we can meet up then. You do it live in person ill pay for your flight how about that. Thatll be a free flight to Las Vegas or LA for you.
