I don't like the beat on My Country but I love all those other songs. Even Braveheart Party. I'm surprised you didn't like that one :lolbron:
Sung hook
Song isn't serious.
It's about :shaq:
I can understand people having an issue with Rule given the sample, but he absolutely destroyed that beat and it's another sung hook for you :lolbron:
Plus that beat is fun :lolbron:
I like the beat on Destroy and Rebuild :yeshrug:
Smoking too :yeshrug:
You didn't like the Flyest? :hhh:

At the end of the day, Blueprint has the better production, Stillmatic has the better rhymes and the higher highs.

Stop trollin:pachaha:

I dont like any ol sung hook, its the reason Izzo sometimes makes me cringe:scust:,but it works for what it is.

If you like Smokin youll eat up anythimg Nas throws at u and you cant be trusted.how the hell yall got the nerve to not like Nastradamus and Godson when you like songs like Smokin,Braveheart Party, the rule, the flyest:laff:

So many wack hooks, wack beats, uninspired rhyming yall call great:scust:?

When they did the round of interviews after I Declare War he talked about its influence
Other people have said this as well. I dont see any correlation to L with Hov's style given L was big on punchlines and if anything Jay was on entendres
I'm talking in terms flow, I see more similarities between them vocally and verse structure wise than Jay compared to Nas.
That's it though, I believe Jay is also distinct enough from L and I believe Jay is a better rapper than him in essentially every measurement so don't mistake me comment.
Like Lupe Fiasco said when a Big L stan tried to bait him into saying L was better than Jay:

IMHO (which won't be popular), both are a tad overrated and a bit forced...with that said blueprint is the better album.

I actually like Braveheart Party :hubie:
I realize I'm basically alone on that. Even MJB forced Nas to take it off the album

I got the OG with BH Party on there

That's the first time I ever remember an album being re-released in order to take off a wack song. That song was dumpster juice and everyone knew lol.

Having said that, Stillmatic shyts on blueprint easily:ahh:

I say The Blueprint even though I fukk wit both heavy, I still listen to both with regularity. I know The Blueprint by heart start to finish, there's songs on Stillmatic I don't even play so I gotta go BP.

Im talking beyond flow, when illmatic dropped Jay instantly changed his flow then. L was around since 92 if he wanted to switch that style up

And the lower lows and it ends terribly
It ends with Poison and Every Ghetto :gucci:
It ends with that amazing verse :ahh:

The lowest low of the 2 albums is Braveheart Party :mjcry:
Jigga That and Hola Hovito are as "bad" as any "bad" song on Stillmatic (excluding BHP of course :hubie:)
