Team needs to move on from thibs he did good for the 5 years hes been coaching this team but it's time to move on

Also it seems like kat might be gone this off season but idk if he should be moved
It’s one or the other. Either you trade KAT for something Thibs knows how to use, or you bring in a new coach with an offense that can maximize KAT and Brunson. shyt, the solution could just be as simple as starting a shooter next season instead of Josh Hart though.

Ehhh.....don't want to make the same mistake twice. Giving a guy who should be a role player getting 20 mins at the max a starting role. Shamet isn't a starter imo.

Stren doesn't like this, he in the grave mad

I don't know man it's a tough call. Who do you think would play good with our offense?

People want to get rid of Thibs but I don't think that's the answer either.

Offense really wasn't our issue most of the season or even in this series....despite tonight's showing. We can't defend anyone. Mikal isn't as good as advertised on the defensive end. He was getting cooked by Haliban routinely shyt was disgusting :scust:

how i feel about it. if thibs is back, whatever, we'll be talented to compete at a high level...winning a chip is off the table with him
you need talent + a coach on the same accord

Like How many good games did the knicks play this playoffs? Lol

How often did they play well even consecutive games?

Some of these wins was playing like ass for entire stretches and someone saving them

How? Minnesota only did that trade to get DDV. All NBA teams had a chance to get KAT and passed on him because of his contract. All he did was show you why Minnesota was willing to get rid of him after going to the WCF in the first time in their franchise history.

You guys running this shyt back.
Bro went to back to back conference finals and got 3rd NBA all team but you don’t think there is a market for him?

His value probably has gone up because he showed it wasn’t a fluke by being on a winning team and making a second deep playoff run.

Also the reason he had to leave Minnesota was cap related to both KAT and Gobert being on the roster.

I know it's been said soo many times already but that Game 1 collapse really changed the course of the series in the worst way possible.

It gave Indiana the confidence to beat y'all, even tho they already had some due to last year's postseason run, but coming back the way they did was a major boost.

The Knicks just couldn't recover after that, even tho they won two games in this series, those wins felt like an aberration due to the miscues of the Pacers errors down the stretch, especially in Game 3 when they had a chance to go up 3-0 and could've potentially ended this in 4 games considering they won Game 4.

After beating Boston this was y'all best chance of at least making it to the Finals, now that window of opportunity might be closed depending on how things go next season. Game 1 will forever be a haunting memory for Knicks fans.

I am not stressing it. The flip side is this is the first year of a 4 year window and if the Knicks don’t shyt the bed and health stays good they should be able to make another run, yes health affects everyone. Look at Boston and Philly. However, you can’t go into a season assuming a season ending injury…. Like look at Boston.

Minnesota found him to be replaceable and they aren't even jn love with his replacement. They tried to give him away and no one wanted Randle.

Let's not act like Mikal Bridges ain't here who's still the player with the most trade value on the Knicks. KAT is KAT. All the great things he was, he is in NY. Problem is, so is all of the bad things. This has been KAT for years. This isn't new. He's late and missing rotations on defense like crazy. Minnesota already proved he's a bad drop center but NY fukked around a put a PG who can't switch so it's drop or die and of course, guess what happens to KAT in these situations

None of this is new. What is new is i didn't realize how not much of a PnR PG is Brunson. I used to think he was better than Trae because he can run an offense 10x better but he can't run the PnR at all. Washed Derrick Rose is superior to Brunson at it. This is KAT bread and butter and he can't do it well.

Brunson is an ecosystem PG. That's good. He's an excellent player and the Knicks is a perfect fit with Thibs but it's hard to see the fit working with him and KAT

Brunson does fine as a pick and roll guard and it worked really well with KAT the first 2 months of the season. It stopped working the moment teams started putting their centers on Josh Hart. We ran more pick and rolls with Josh (It feels that way at least) just to force the mismatch on Brunson. Any Towns/Brunson pick and rolls had to contend with a center sagging off of Hart, or a wing crowding Towns on the perimeter, taking away his drives and his spot ups.
