Not how the NBA works anymore, they handcuffing you when you're in the aprons. You not even allowed to overpay for shyt. Expect more scrubs around Luka and Bron :blessed:
Moving to more of an NFL model.

You can have a superstar or two, but NBA GM's can no longer ride the coat tails of elite talent to rings. They gotta actually focus on roster construction, hitting on draft picks and finding role players that compliment your centerpiece.

They finna have to earn their paychecks now.

I thought private individuals had to own sports teams, investment funds can own them as well?

Apparently this dude “only” put up 100ms for Dodgers whereas his fund (other people’s money) put up the rest of his percentage

Pretty common. An ownership group pulling together

It’s how Lebron has ownership stakes in the Red Sox and Liverpool. Or like how A Rod has ownership in the T Wolves

Not talking about ownership groups I’m talking about a fund owning a team.

In 2012, he led Guggenheim Baseball Management (GBM)'s $2.15 billion purchase of the team.[41] His personal contribution was reportedly $100 million,[42] with Guggenheim Partners-related businesses contributing another $1.213 billion.[43] (The precise contribution from insurance companies has been disputed, with The Wall Street Journal estimating a contribution of "at least $300 million"[31] and LA Weekly putting the figure at $100 million.[27])

Guggenheim finances TWG, and TWG owns the Lakers

Simmons made that Lakers is worth so much more than the Celtics :mjlol:

If I bought 1 bitcoin for 1 buck, and now pay 100k for an additional one, so I have two. Would one say, “I really didn’t pay 100k for the second one since I bought the first one for 1 buck”.

The "Not that crazy" part is pure salt, cause who was even saying it was crazy :mjlol:
