WACK. canadians love to boast about it, but its weak as hell. It rains 8 months out of the year, its expensive as hell. $13 for a six pack of cheap domestic beer, and cheap vodka is about $23. you can only buy liquor from govt ran spots. they have relaxed weed laws, however, you have to get weed the old fashion way, a connect. so you sitting there having to rely on someone to come thru. Im a west coaster we havent had to do that in over a decade. everyone has a card and just goes to a dispensary. it felt weird getting weed from someone, him telling me it was strawberry kush and not really knowing if it was :wtb:

canadians are cool people. polite, conscious, but the thing is, because of it, theyre introverts. they are very boring, most are friends with people from work, school, or long time friends, because at bars, they only talk to the group they came with. they're not extroverts. Im from LA, you come into a venue and everyones talking to each other, you could be at the bar and just start up a convo with someone and his/her friends then you and your peeps are mingling with their peeps etc. but in vancouver, its not like that. shyt is weird. you could be on the skytrain and NOBODY is talking to each other. to them, they're being polite. but its just like :dwillhuh: to me.

everything in vancouver is expensive because of the 13% tax, but as a foreigner you dont even benefit from those taxes. :rudy: I dont get free healthcare.

They don't really have a lot of things to do, and things end early like 1-2am. The night life is scarse and only cracking on the weekend. you won't find much during the week.

the females are ok. bit stuck up and socially awkward but they cool.

I have a theory on why they're so introvert and it probably has to do with the weather. in LA you spend your days outside, its always sunny, whereas vancouver its always raining, so you're indoors. you're not developing the same social skills and extrovert behaviors as someone spending hours outdoors mingling with people. plus the sun makes humans happy. I felt miserable with it ALWAYS being grey.

Vancouver is a great place to raise kids, you have a family, wife etc. it's very clean, the people are polite, its not a violent city and the social services like free healthcare, public transportation are great.

I wouldn't recommend it for a single wildin out 20s something year old tho.

I'm indoors for all that Halloween sh*t. I can't stand that sh*t.

Cafe Entourage
Xen Lounge

Why?

you know any spots with older classy/sexy broads (late 20s and 30s)

like tha Roosevelt and W lobby's, I like bytches in those type spots, you can actually have a conversation and they ain't on no "this my first time gettin drunk" wildin out shyt...

that walkin tha strip shyt is burnt especially for a older nikka like me, actually pullin a bytch is tough that way, it's too many people walkin and hollerin, I'm str8
