I think Coach Tomlin will (and should) serve up his resignation. Both parties need a change of scenery. I'd like Tomlin to take a year off to refresh, do some TV work (he'd be great imo), and approach the following season recharged. It's a wrap in Pittsburgh.
I don't know whether that's on him or the GM but they haven't been in a position to draft a QB. The Pickett pick was a home town hero reach in a bad QB draft.
The only 1st round pick who panned out but they missed was Jordan Love. They traded that pick for Minkah Fitzpatrick.

Tomlin is scared to hire good coordinators because he thinks they will come for his job, hence his firing of Haley and never getting a oc of his caliber. His defenses haven't been dominant since he got rid of LaBeau. James Harrison has spoken on that.

The Steelers had a good season overall and far better than what people expected after signing Russ and trading for Fields. Yet, for them, it still seems like a disappointing end to the season despite originally not having any championship expectations.
