A great HC but sometims a change of scenery is necessary. Talent aside, there was no sense of urgency in the first half. Players were going through the motions. Better second half but too late against a great team like the Ravens.

His DBs are soft as hell, LBs didn't have lane discipline. His DL played hard but only so much they could do. Russ was awful first half.

If he becomes available, Bengals should go all in to bring him in.

Why he does nothing the Bengals would benefit from IMHO
He is a db coach by trade but his DBS are average. He isn't a good d coordinator, offensively it would a downgrade. What do you think Tomlin would provide them, please don't give me the no losing seasons bs

He has never missed the playoffs even with shytty QBs and has won the SB but would provide less than Zach Taylor? :mjpls:

He has missed the playoffs 6 times, last time he missed was 2022
He won the SB 17 years ago, congrats.

What does he provide as a coach better than Zach Taylor again? Offense, defense, or special teams? DB? QB? what is Tomlin going to provide the Bengals that they don't have now as a coach?

Meant losing seasons not playoffs :snoop:

I don't follow either teams as closely but seems Tomlin has his team play up to their talent year in and year out. Zach should have better results considering he has elite level QB play which Tomlin has not had since Ben's prime.

This year aside, his defenses typically play hard for him.

Cool, losing seasons means nothing to me, for a franchise like the Steelers.

I'd say getting to the Super Bowl twice with Big Ben is underperforming , losing to the Jags in the playoffs is under performing.
Lets evaluate Tomlin like we do every other coach and take the baby gloves off.

He had to compete against prime Brady/Belichick and Peyton:gucci:
lol
So lets removed Peyton with the Colts/Broncos and Brady with the Pats from the equation.

So he gets a pass losing to David Gerrad and the Jags in 2007 in a wild card game?
Gets a pass losing to the Ravens and Flacco in a wild card game in 2014
gets a pass losing in 2017 to the Jags and Bortles in a wild card game
Gets a pass in 2020 for losing to baker mayfield and the browns in a wild card
gets a pass in 2021 for losing to the Chiefs Mahomes in wild card game to round out his Big Ben run
add in a pass for the 5 seasons in that span they didn't even make the playoffs.

10 seasons with Big Ben where he never got to face Brady or Manning, because half the time he never made the playoffs and the other they lost fukking wild card games.

This isn't underperforming with a Mt. Rushmore QB?

Defense :dahell:

That's how he's kept on having winning seasons with mediocre players.

Nobody, saw Steelers being ahead of Bengals based on their squads this year. They would've probably been ahead of Baltimore too if they hadn't lost their WR1 or WR-everything. But still lost yesterday of course.

LOL, so Tomline is going to let the Bengal's offensive talent go so he can have a average defense and the Bengals are supposed to be better off with him than Taylor?

Tomlin's team quit on him and collapsed. as a coach he failed to find the answers and adjustments to get his team on the right track.

Didn't say Haley was, but he gets rid of anyone he sees as a potential threat Haley is batshyt crazy but he had big bens support and he had legit success there as OC

Tomlin couldn't stand that and got rid of him and never got an elite of or DC afterward.
Ben didn't like Haley so the Rooneys fired him

His team didn't quit on him, they had no chance against Baltimore. Do you want to compare the best QB and RB vs 37 year old has been and someone who was already released for an unknown draft pick? :skip:
The fact that they already kept Baltimore to 16 points once was impressive.

As for Beingals, from what I've heard the Bengals do not have bad players in defense, they haven't made constellation a unit.
And Tomlin does not make personnel choices as far as I know.

But with that being said, I wouldn't change Zac. Cause that offense is crazy. They just need a solid DC. But then again, with that owner we'll see if they can keep half of the offensive weapons.
