Although I think rap communicates bad and counter-productive messages to black youth, historically it has been one of the few industries where a black man has an equal or better chance at making it over a white person. Professional athletics is another example of an industry where white privilege is mitigated. Pretty much all industries where whites dominate, their privilege multiplies. The same is true for blacks.
There is no real invasion. The influx is due to the ease of getting into the rap game now. Before you had to have prowess on the mic in all forms. Nowadays, if you can produce some candy ass beat talking about bytches drugs and money you're pretty much guaranteed a shot.
Needless to say, white peeps know how to use a computer. Making beats won't be shyt as well as slapping it up on some social media site.
In the end, the bar was lowered, the floodgates were opened, and people bought trash ass Wayne and Gucci albums. Those people are to blame.
