No one mentioned it, but I think this is the first time we've seen the two best players in the world go against each other in the finals in a LONG TIME. And not just on opposing teams, but going at each other head to head. Defending one another.

Appreciate that fact regardless of who you're rooting for.
Word..When was the last time we seen this..Magic & Bird?

So now you want Bron to hold his hand like his daddy to make him improve? Are you serious?:dwillhuh:
So now Bron also has to be their coach?:gucci:
I mean he fired the coach the cavs brought in specifically to build kyrie in David blatt
But we gone forget he got the coach fired

He balled until that pressure got tight. Klay was busting his tail in game 6 but now he's the best in the league? nikka had a lead at home going into the 4th and choked it away then choked in game 7. Now the nikka staring down Love, yappin, acting like he Draymond Jr, lol. nikka realized he had the monstars behind him and started puffing his chest out
He was balling all throughout the series. Fatigued got to him because of how much energy he was exerting on both ends of the floor. OKC was just unfortunate they had to play a near full-strength Warriors squad. And Cleveland was fortunate they played a weakened Warriors squad. That's the only difference. Durant would've won a title last year if his team faced a Warriors squad with a hobbled Curry, injuries to Bogut and Iggy and Draymond being suspended for one game.

houston.
You're exactly right. I was telling my brother the same thing.I feel it's due to LeBron not having a a great coach during his formative years. Peep this video, this is what made Jordan the GOAT, Dean Smith forced Jordan to learn how to play off the ball....(and this is not a shytting on kobe post):

Bron will never be close to Jordan

My Pops Forever RIP
The showtime lakers were never a lower seed. Bird's Celtics were never a lower seed, Julius Erving and the 76ers weren't a low seed during their run. Shaq and Kobe's lakers were a high seed their entire time together. Wade got Shaq in his second season so they took a massive leap. The big 3 celtics were 66-16 their first year together. The heatles were a top 2 seed every year. These cavaliers have been too. The spurs were a top tier seed from 1998 onward too. The warriors making the jump stems largely from a coaching change. It's very rare a team makes a gradual rise like golden state and the bad boys did.

Those teams were 30-35 years ago. They were out there winning titles and drafting someone first overall later that spring.

In every one of your scenarios, they either had a basketball Jesus or acquired one (and those teams won titles). None of these teams are "hey let's stay in the lotto for a long time, hopefully get multiple franchise players and watch em skyrocket to the moon. All these teams are trying that OKC Thunder format and even OKC was a lower seed when they first got in.

The mistake we make as fans is that we think there's a savior in every single draft.
