It just came back to me how they dropped DeAndre Liggins, their by far best defender, for two bigs that didn't even work out. Cleveland has done some questionable ass things in the past few months, but I'm not sure why they dropped their main guard defender when they knew they were playing Golden State in the finals. At best, they were gonna have to play some combo of Wall/Isaiah/Flabby/Brogdon...who just gets rid of an elite defender for no reason? Like they couldn't have dropped James Jones or some shyt instead?

I stated that earlier in this thread... Short sighted clowns the Cavs are

:mjlol: @ people taking about what type of defense needs to play in order to beat a team with:

3 of the greatest shooters of all time
2 mvp's
2 players who have averaged 30+ pts
3 all league defenders

The best defense for cleveland is to:

1.Control tempo
2.Rebound
3.Limit turnovers
4.Hit open shots
5.Lebron/Kyrie both dropping 30-40 pts.

Cleveland needs to keep it simple on defense:

1.Switch everything
2.When GS gets a mismatch after a switch,double team,then rotate
3.Chase curry/Thompson off the 3 pt line. Both players are at their worst when they are trying to make plays off the dribble.
4.Play borderline(Hold,Pull jerseys,be more physical)

Durant is going to Durant...Last year in the wcsf he had games of 41 & 37 on Kawhi

The key to slowing down Durant is keeping him off the ft line and limiting his assist. But it's tough when you have shooters like curry/Thompson on the floor.

You say keep it simple then advise Cleveland to implement 3 of the most difficult defensive tactics against GS :russ:

22 mins in game 1, 21 minutes in game 2 for TT. Who would have thought Tristan Thompson would play himself out of this series? This Warriors team makes so many good NBA players unusable.

TT makes himself useless. Doesn't have a midrange for pick and pops, can't finish reliably without a two handed dunk. Even if he could reliably finish with either hand he would more effective.

The nikka was tired dog

Golden State had 100 points by the 3rd quarter. Bron was visibly worn out.

Bron the only one that gets tired, eh? Nobody wonders how tiresome having a 6'8" 250lbs athletic freak across from you for the bulk of the game is? It's amazing how a bean pole who couldn't lift 185 lbs has enough legs to show up in the second half and still shoot 55/50/90.

LeBron is the GM, every personnel decision goes through him you know this

"No disrespect to DeAndre (Liggins) and to Kay, you think we can rely on them to help us win a playoff game right now?" James said. "And it's no disrespect to them. But it's like, it's not fair to them."

Going forward, not in this series but the upcoming seasons, Cleveland NEEDS to add a back to the basket player. Kinda like a Zach Randolph type of post player.

Also, adding that would help them to have an actual offensive SYSTEM that would lessen the workload of Bron. How many times over the first two games had they needed to dump it down low and get a bucket to slow/stop the bleeding but couldn't do it? Countless times
