Nah Toppin was really good the last month of the season. If he continues where he left off I think he’s going to be an all star (or borderline) in a couple years.
So I just actually looked at the stats…

In the last 11 games of the season Toppin averaged 21.9ppg and shot 44% from deep across those games. Yeah yeah I know it’s the end of the season, teams ain’t trying etc etc. I know the narratives but if you were watching the games you’d see that it was more than just opponents not trying. Toppin simply started to read the game a lot better, putting himself in the position to make plays and succeed.

I don’t think it’s farfetched to say Toppin has borderline all-star potential (maybe not as a Knick cuz they suck but from an ability standpoint, something definitely started clicking for him at the end of the season.

Laugh now. You’ll see. He’s figured some shyt out. He was passing, shooting and finishing at the rim waaaay better at the end of last year.

It’s good to have hope my guy :wow:
Hope he does turn it around so the Hawks can eliminate the Knicks every year in the playoffs.

With the dumb ass all star voting now, he’s considered a front court player & he has to leapfrog a lot of guys who are already fringe all stars or already all stars to even get a nomination.

Those are all the eastern conference “front court” players who are all stars or who should/could be one. I don’t think Obi is better than any of those guys.

So, pump fake Ainge.

Knicks tried.
Could be the Jazz weren't at all interested in paying Mitchell Robinson what he wound up getting
They might not have been interested in Topping either
Like we can talk about the picks but the players being offered were important too
They were apparently really high on Grimes and wanted him
