improvements. It’s how he’s doing it. In the past Markannen would not be able to produce an 8 game stretch with that quality of paint play.
Markannen will have a more efficient season than Barrett offensively regardless if it holds…

Yes RJ has more freedom.
He leads us in field goal attempts and he has played big minutes and been allowed to shoulder a significant share of the offense for years. He has been allowed to shoot through slumps that would get most players benched and he’s been
healthy. This season he’s supposed to be showing these improvements he has made but instead is off to one of his worst slumps ever. He is still a guy who doesn’t looks like he is good at any skill or scoring in any area of the floor but can rack up a decent (but inefficient) box score on bully ball, motor, and usage.
