The Clipse grew up middle class, no struggle but gravitated to the drug game ... is this common?

The same cats dissing Pusha T for being a drug dealer from a middle class family, probably were slurping up the "Cocaine Cowboys" documentary, even though it was about a bunch of middle class cacs and Latino's.

Some people are just inherently gonna wild out. Lower class, middle class, upper class, it doesn't matter. The only reason this is even a discussion is because of the influence of rap music on our culture. If a suburban dude in 1978 was selling heroin, nobody would have even questioned his motive.

okay so what...GET OVER IT ....:russell:

DRAKE is a LIAR ..and the CLIPSE are liars too...

...you just realizing RAPPERS BEEN LYING TO US EVER SINCE THEY STARTED RECORDING?

fukk u getting mad for :childplease:

Why is it so important for you to do this dumbazz compare and contrast when they ALL FABRICATE THIER LIVES for the sake of ENTERTAINMENT

even my favorite rappers :manny:

"minus all the videos ..stickers and fliers..most of these rappers are compulsive liars" :youngsabo:

I don't know about you lil homie...but ive always approached rap with a CYNICAL EAR for HUMOR and WIT ..

ever since Special Ed said in the 80s...that he got a "treaty with Tahiti cause he owns a percent" and that he "got boutiques from france to the USA"
:russ:

funny lines..but fictional as fukk..........

so i never took what a rapper say LITERALY even when he CLAIMS TO BE THE "REALEST"

my thing is to reasonably DOUBT everything these dudes say simply cause it's just MUSIC to me :manny:

and i NOR you is getting a CHECK from trying to fact check or validate it...

and YOU KNOW YOU KNOW :umad:
Fam. I dont give a shyt either way. I'm callin out the dumb shyt being said in the thread. That's where it begins and ends. And I also hate the way middle class and working class gets jumbled up in meaning. And middle in working class in black neighborhoods vs white ones is a whole diff thing.

They grew up in a family of drug dealers

This.

I knew someone who grew up in an upper middle class family, dad owned a construction company that pulled in close to a million a year. But they were part of an immigrant community and in immigrant communities, some come and live the American dream and become model citizens and some become criminals. This guy’s dad had a lot of friends who became heroin traffickers that he considered his “uncles”. He got into the game heavy too even though his dad sent him to private school. His brother went to an Ivy League school while he was making 50k a week at the age of 19.
