Compton is not a suburb

Yes it fukkin is, NY knicca. Suburb isn't a synonym for "not ratchet area" or "area that isn't majority Latino/Black".

Source: I live extremely close to Compton.

And...

Same with LA..

909 N Thorson Ave, Compton, CA 90221 - realtor.com®

pool and basketball hoop....

...but ghostwriter is a troll not a real Drake stan....

lmao thank you

The city has many full sized homes. The reasons why people don't just live there even though houses are like $100k cheaper than surrounding cities are because of the name and because of the city and its lack of development in majority Latino (the city is majority Mexican now) and Black areas.

Where did I suggest that?

Compton IS a city
Compton, California - Wikipedia

You realize the definition of a suburb includes cities that are outlying the borders of a major city, right?

The wiki page you posted even refers to the city as a suburb:

For many years, Compton was a much sought-after suburb for the black middle class of Los Angeles.

Although an inner suburb of Los Angeles, Compton has seen an increase of middle-class residents in the last few years, due to its affordable housing despite the portrayals of Compton in the media, which are typically exaggerated.

It’s not a suburb. Maybe at one point they could have been considered first ring suburbs. 100,000 people live there, they have a downtown. It’s nicknamed the Hub City. Why is it a suburb because of suburban sprawl and houses? They have a mayor. Decatur isn’t a “suburb” either, these are just small cities outside of large cities.

It’s like me being from NYC and saying Mt. Vernon and Yonkers are suburbs.
You know what a metropolitan area is b? :francis: less populated communities around the central downtown area are categorized as neighborhoods, suburbs, cities, townships, boroughs, etc. Compton is more urban than most suburbs but it's still considered a suburb of Los Angeles. South Central is a neighborhood of LA and is the hood. Compton is a suburb of LA and is the hood. But there's a slight difference.

I grew up in Decatur which has it's own downtown and unincorporated neighborhoods (Candler-McAfee, Panthersville, etc.). It's still a suburb of Atlanta despite bordering the city. Our addresses said "Decatur, GA" not "Atlanta, GA".

Word, and a good chunk of Decatur is the hood, especially the south side. I drive through there on the way to Atlanta for school every day and a lot of those areas are GHASTLY, lemme tell you :mjlol:. The fukkin' major chain fast food spots have their windows tinted up and buzz customers in cuz they get robbed too much :russ:
I grew up on candler road... Decatur (below memorial drive) is still a suburb of Atlanta...just a ghetto suburb like Compton is to LA.....

I don't think you understand what a suburb in a metro area is b. Suburbs are also their own distinct cities/towns.

There's real cats everywhere, maybe if u been outside before u would know that. Wake up op

SELLING DRUGS cause you got influenced by other kids getting dope money and riding flashy cars dont make you any REALER than those who really struggle who chose NOT to

Its all about choices ...

Same way when I was homeless and I chose to swallow my pride and take on what ever LEGAL menial job I had.to take to empower myself

Cats need to be more creative in their grinds and hustles

Not everyone is built for this drug game trust me I know

And a lot of you rap music loving.Coli nerds need to know that as well

The premise of this thread is stupid. As someone who's lived in the 757 for the majority of their lives, its not hard to get caught up in the drug game while living in a decent subdivision. Majority of the time the Pj's is within walking distance unless you're in chesapeake or suffolk. The drug game around here is usually a family affair, so I don't get why people in here are trying to pass them off as frauds when they're anything but that. Why even speak on shyt that you don't know

Speaking from my experience in the Bronx, in the hood the privileged nikkaz, are the ones who always had new Jordan’s, fresh gear fresh haircuts clean clothes and up to date video gaming systems, but that’s where the privilege stopped other than having a roof over their heads & never missing a meal, but that doesn’t mean they weren’t around the same exact elements That influenced me to hustle, their moms & pops just had disposable income left over to buy them trinkets every now & then, nikkaz not trust fund babies or come from generational wealth, they lived in the projects & grew up in a crime & drug infested area just like me
:yeshrug:

Their families tried to insulate them & inoculate them from the ills of the streets but that’s not enough to curtail nikkaz from getting involved in selling drugs
