The Clipse grew up middle class, no struggle but gravitated to the drug game ... is this common?

Super common. People confuse dealers with gangsters too much, a lot of times the big dealer dudes aren't really from the dirt like that, that's why they rock with/hire dudes who are, who handle all that dirty activity for them. There's a reason so many drug dealers get extorted by gangsters

but they still sold drugs tho, so they not rapping about what they lived? being in the middle class has nothing to do with anything. they still in the struggle. Drake on the other hand has never been in the street life or ever been around that stuff until after he got rich. this dude was 18 years old driving a Acura :dead:

This is facts lol
I read a book about this in college
Freakonomics?
The risk is not worth the reward.
But the rap lifestyle makes it seem colder than what it is
Gang leader for a day.
I read it also and it lines up with my observations
To make money in the dope game is not easy. Plus the lifestyle is fast.
Grew up with relatives of famous Jamaican drug dealers. Trust me it involves a lot of stress
