The Clipse grew up middle class, no struggle but gravitated to the drug game ... is this common?

Now I play the drake fan roll on here but I’m separating this from all that. Honest discussion... Niccas went from pool in the back living to running shyt in Virginia ?

Your every post is governed by a need to obsessively defend Drake though.

Why you keep trying to feign objectivity, I have no idea. Literally not one person buys it.

Did ya'll even listen to Lord Willin??
It was a combination of factors: 1. When they got to VA their cousins were already heavily involved (John John and Jamal). 2. Their grandmother was moving weight similar Madame Queen in Hoodlum 3. Consuming violent media at a young age such as Yosemite Sam and Miami Vice pushed them over the edge

Do you fools listen to music etc etc...

Normal in many places. Also depends on what you mean
middle class. And it most definitely have everything to do with who are your peers, the location and era you are referring to. For the Clipse, it was during the peak of the crack epidemic and that entire VA Beach/Nolfolk/Newport News/Portmouth region was one of the major ports for incoming drug trafficking and one of the direct links to Baltimore and NYC and majors cities up north. So, there's a heavy influential environment to be a part of that life regardless of social class.

Yeah, it's extremely common. :yeshrug:

Rappers like to give the impression that everybody that's gang-involved or in the drug-game grew up poor or in the projects, but that's never been true. As somebody from Detroit I know people doing bids now that had it pretty good growing up and now are doing a bid because they got caught up in peer pressure and shyt. Or because they glorified that type of shyt. And likewise, there are plenty of people that had it rough growing up that the coli would probably consider lame or square because they never got involved in that life at all and just went to college and got a 9-5.
