Kareem has the most unstoppbale shot in the history of basketball and was 7ft..
How is Draymond at 6'7 gonna guard Kareem?
Kareem would have 45 on him
He has several options
1. Strip the ball from Cap as he's dribbling to get himself into position. Green is a tremendous thief in post up situations and forces an absurd amount of turnovers to compensate for his lack of size
2. Front him and try to deny him the ball to begin with while another Warrior defender tries to anticipate the post entry pass and make it difficult to even get him the ball
3. He's receiving help from another teammate. It can be Andrew Bogut, another seven footer. In today's league you can easily double a player before they even receive the ball
4. Draymond might be 6'7, but he's one of the strongest players in this league and is incredibly difficult to establish post position against. His 7 foot wingspan allows him to contest shots even with a size disparity.
Is this enough to stop Kareem? No. But he can certainly guard him and hold his own. Like if anyone told you Dennis Rodman could guard Shaq before it happened, did you believe it? Was he not severely mismatched? But what actually happened: He received help from his teammates (who often forced Shaq to pass the ball out of the post), denied post entry passes and compensated for a lack of height. Lets stop looking at this matchup from a size perspective and think about the TEAM aspects that can be emplyed to guard a top center. This ain't a game of 1on1 he's going to get help.
