When I heard this interview I figured this guy could be getting himself in trouble.. I actually thought he might be killed by some other cops and not lose his pension though...

Wow at all this. Pegues told a great story, but he's starting to look like a fool. Especially if it was all duck tales AND he loses his pension over it...

People from his hood saying they never heard of him. Like Sc00n said, why couldn't he just be a good cop and leave it at that?

sounded to me like he was a good cop with integrity and cared about the work he did

“Corey Pegues ain’t no friend of mine,” the cold-blooded killer said in an interview at Attica Correctional Facility on Wednesday. “He’s never been a friend of mine.”

Pegues bragged that he was once a gangbanging buddy of McClary, whom he called “my man” while pitching his autobiography on a podcast called the “Combat Jack Show.”

But McClary said Pegues lied about their friendship — the way he admittedly lied to NYPD officials about his drug-dealing past to get a job on the force in the 1980s.

McClary said he believes Pegues is dropping his name and exaggerating his own thug life to supplement his $135,000-a-year disability pension.

“This is all for money. He’s retired and needs another hustle, another paycheck . . . Everything he’s been saying about his history is total bulls–t.”

Great listen. Even if he was lying about his life before being a cop the stuff he said about what you should do during encounters with the cops was good info. I liked the part where he confirmed what the black community already knew in that the white community is policed different.

Exactly. I don't know what is about niiggas that make them so obsessed to embellish or even dwell on their criminal past. Every nikka that sold a dime of weed think they Pablo Escobar. Like we always trying to prove our manhood by impressing strangers with fairy tales of our hood endeavors. Even nikkas who made it still love talking about their past drug dealings like it validates them (Jay, 50, Jeezy etc)
