True, but if u live around a hour from any decent size city, it's pretty decent.
Side note- none of my comments apply to Florida bc there are people I like that live there or are from there; they’re cool af. Had good experiences in Florida.

I didnt appreciate the peace and serenity with all AAs, connected culturally, really being raised in a sense of community and village like setting growing up.
The attachment to nature, kind and nurturing women not chasing some fast life, hard working and proud men hardly ever seeing bums, no one trying to chase some gentrified standard of "progressive" or black people with no cultural ties throwing in their bullshyt

It ain't that anything u sayin is "wrong" per se it's just the way u depicting it. As if there isn't any value to just slowing down and enjoying the lil shyt like u do in the country. And as if just ripping and running always on the move just for the sake of ripping and running is somehow better.
Just vibing with folks and outdoors just feels right if that makes sense, it's nothing tangible I'm talmbout here.
If anything all the 'perks' of the city life is wat should be getting enjoyed in small doses. Some of the craziest and out of they mind nikkas u will ever meet be city m'fers. It's a toxic environment.

Lol mofos be worried about the wrong thing. Bragging about people envying them and being “high end”. Those are just bammas disconnected/ashamed of their traditions hence they buy into the materialism of America.
The only thing the “big city” is good for is to extract the economic resources available and build your own thing. But most folks get lost in it and think life is trying tk keep up with the joneses in order to continue to be in the big city living a life of struggle.
Reverse that, Since you brought it up, that’s not my experience at all. I’m not generalizing or applying as a whole like u, but based on who I interacted with personally - every dude from the country that I met was slow, stagnated or were very off putting and annoying. Dudes from the city were much more intellectually stimulating, weren’t about all the extra dramatic shyt, respectful of boundaries and were more confident. Less emotional, and more in control of their feelings from being influenced from a variety of different opinions and personalities. Less judgmental and more open minded bc they can understand other people’s struggles; therefore, more supportive when they come up. From being in the city, they know what that tough love is all about instead of taking things so personally.
No, there’s no toxicity unless you’re frail minded from the start with limited coping skills. If you’re constantly complaining about toxic environments; then you should look at the source , maybe it’s you or who/what you surround yourself with.

I go to madison Florida once a year cuz my family roots are there and nah, y'all can keep that.
No bars except in restaurants that close at 8 pm (yes, 8 fukking pm)
One grocery store and it's expensive cuz of no competition. Lack of healthy options

Being an hour away from the airport

Truth in this statement...... a lot of brothers/sisters who claim that they couldn't deal with staying in the South really mean that they don't want to stay around mostly black people... and that's real....
There’s value to slowing down, never said that; however, I’m not slowing down if my finances or standards of living are not where I’m need them to do. Or sitting around when I’m not where I need to be. Time and a place for everything. I’m not going to the country to do that. Just bc We have the hustle hard mentality; Being in the city/urban area doesn’t mean we don’t know how to relax.
