Reverse that, Since you brought it up, that’s not my experience at all. I’m not generalizing or applying as a whole like u, but based on who I interacted with personally - every dude from the country that I met was slow, stagnated or were very off putting and annoying. Dudes from the city were much more intellectually stimulating, weren’t about all the extra dramatic shyt, respectful of boundaries and were more confident. Less emotional, and more in control of their feelings from being influenced from a variety of different opinions and personalities. Less judgmental and more open minded bc they can understand other people’s struggles; therefore, more supportive when they come up. From being in the city, they know what that tough love is all about instead of taking things so personally.

No, there’s no toxicity unless you’re frail minded from the start with limited coping skills. If you’re constantly complaining about toxic environments; then you should look at the source , maybe it’s you or who/what you surround yourself with.

Umm. :patrice: . Ive met some of the most fragile minded dudes ever that grew up I N the city. Not saying all dudes are like that but it's true. But that intellectual part is j u st straight up bs. You got dumb and smart dudes everywhere.

There’s value to slowing down, never said that; however, I’m not slowing down if my finances or standards of living are not where I’m need them to do. Or sitting around when I’m not where I need to be. Time and a place for everything. I’m not going to the country to do that. Just bc We have the hustle hard mentality; Being in the city/urban area doesn’t mean we don’t know how to relax.

You don't have to slow down in your ability to live being in a rural area. There are areas close to Atlanta, Houston, Miami, etc that are rural but still close to a major city.

Born in Oakland, lived in the country forever. One downside is it’s like a 50 mile round trip to see concerts, or when you have to see a real doctor - not just some rube with a stetheoscope.

Plus all the racist country bumpkins :scust:

I think the city is where young folks go to pop off, find a spouse, and then settle down to cheaper housing costs.

Georgia and Texas are country to me. The title and topic of this thread is “the country life is better than city life” I don’t agree.

Rather live in something spacious in the city or urban area like this near my house : 3-4 levels of spacious luxury with the benefits of the city.. and city life.

I hear that. At this age in my life I’d rather be in that, and may want that for the rest of my life. I will admit there’s something peaceful about being out in the country. Something dope about actually being able to see stats at night lol

You’re a fukkin idiot. I’m
Never not around black people; I don’t need to be down south to do it or in a country environment. Stupid as fuk for that statement. The neighborhoods I grew up in were black, puerto Rican and Dominican, azzhole.

Nah... I'm actually kind of bright.... and the bolded kind of proves my point....... :ehh:

Dawg, I agree with you wholeheartedly.

I was in the country this past weekend for my granddaddy’s 80th, and just being on his porch, sipping on some brown liquor, talking it up with cousins and other family, bbq’ing, and staying out until the lightening bugs came out, man, that shyt was so peaceful.

My grandad has some land he’s going to give me and I plan on building a house right on there. I want that country living, and it’s 20 mins from major cities Greensboro and Winston, NC.

See this is what people don't understand. You dont have to go live in West bumblefukk. You can be within a thirty minute drive and have that life. Maybe it's just like this in the south :yeshrug:

I can't do the country. Shoot my mom lives in Chesapeake, Virginia and that's country to me. So I don't know how ya'll do it in the deep south. I can't do it. Nothing but dirt back roads and a basketball court. No gas station, no corner store, no supermarket. I like being in walking distance to everything. Being near a park, a gym or fitness center. I like a little bit of density to my neighborhood.

Yes but smart people with goals and aspirations tend to flock to the city and flee from the country. Plus living in the city is more expensive which means that you generally need to be smart enough to be able to make enough money to live there. So yes, there are smart people everywhere but there are far more of them on average in the city.

All I’ll say on this subject...

As someone who grew up in the Bay Area and then spent almost 7 years all thru out the South. And has now been back on the West Coast for 3 years...

I MISSED being around the City mane

That’s me tho. I’ve always loved being around people and the hustle and bustle and grind of city living

I’ve been in remote parts of TX, LA, NC, SC, GA, VA etc

Idk brehs, to each his own

Got HELLA partners who live in small areas all around the country

Got some who live in metro areas

It is what it is

I’m not finna change nobody mind anyways
