sign up for a secure credit card that will graduate after a year.Negotiate your terms and make demands breh. I wopuld recommend chase personnally., good luck
Bolded is one of the most important things. Some banks offer cards that don't graduate at all. Thats an L all around.
And understand what a secured card is
You are putting money down get a credit line. The money you put down is only there to cover the bank in case you default. This is to minimize risk for the bank. IT DOES NOT PAY THE BILL FOR YOU.
I've seen a lot of ppl make their credit worse by thinking that a secured card was a pre paid or pay as you go card.
Also I'd recommend getting a couple to build faster, for example you have 600 you want to put into a secured line. Get 2 cards with 300 dollar limits instead of 1 600 card. Youll build up your paymebt history twice as fast
Is this true???!! If it is, I'm about to be good soon & never knew it.

. I had been using the card a bit more lately but mainly for food and household supplies. Nothing major and paid off a good chunk of the balance today. I don't use it much but started just to build up more points. I was just thrown off by the limit increase since I checked the last statement and it said 500. Hope this isn't a trap, not like I'm gonna go crazy now that the limit increase, should help my credit score tho. Even tho my credit utilization isn't really above the recommended standards.
