Score went up a point from last time. Plus the simulators all have me going up atleast ten points based on my current balances and payments. They're still behind from the current payments I made from my paycheck this week. I'll be at 780 before the end of the month.

Got my wife to 730 from 590 in 16 months. Funny thing is she has a high balance on her card. She will get to 790 if she pays it off. Lol. I started higher than her and make more but she gets the best off the deal. Maybe because she has 0 negative accounts in her history.

Which company you got ? Some companies use offshore call centers. There goes your privacy and safety. It's just cheaper for them

Card got hacked. It was my bank of America credit card. It was either at the gas station on Friday night or the gun range yesterday, I'm guessing. I'm laying in bed this morning and get the notification of like a $260 purchase from Wal-Mart website. So I'm like hold up, I haven't bought anything from there in many months. So I call boa and they close the card out for me and are sending me a new one. I gotta see if I have any rarely used accounts on that card but I doubt it. That's an everyday card. Most of my streaming services, gym membership, and reload services are with other cards. Just sucks having to go thru the hassle.

BOA is well known for that. Their cards always getting hacked. Make sure no other info of yours were stolen

Are those in collection ? If they are, don't pay them. Read my first posts.

You didn't ever wanna pay colections. My score is 736 now. That's from 598 a little before I stared this thread. My wife score is 730. She only has 1 store CC, but I put her on everything I have so we both build together. We tryING to reach a score of 800, so we can properly eat. It can be done.

Don't pay off collections. Take a screenshot with your info blurred or just write them here so we can properly help you to revovery

Nah, welcome to #bankblack

just put in as much as you can, use it sparingly and don't miss any payments and you will start building your credit

Use the CK feature to challenge the bad stuff in your credit report or call the debt collector

I would pay for credit repair but that's a controversial topic and it ain't cheap

Once you get around 600, it will take a few months, start applying for a couple of store cards and capitol one card

Going up quick. Transunion at 778 and equifax at 777 on credit karma but great nonetheless. And at 2% utilization. Goal is 800 by labor day.

Yeah I've heard, and they have good promotional periods. Just pay it off quick and never use it again. But although I think it may be better to put it on a promotional rewards travel card that will get you better points.

I cant type everything but since I found this thread earlier this year my credit has gotten way better. I got a few BS 300 limit cards and barely used them. It helped my score go up so I could refinance my whip after a few months and saved 100 dollars a month on the payment. Then it went up because it looked like I paid off the loan.

Basically, on time payments and low utilization are the trick. Give it like 6 months and you can go from 552 to 730

Happy we were all able to help a brother out. People don't get how important credit is. It's more important than cash money

Obviously stating you need both by the way. Buy credit and pay before billing statement. RInse and repeat

I need some help

My score is ~575. I have one credit card (sitting right at 30% of the limit currently), mostly student loans (close to 50K ), one active car loan, and about 19 inquiries on my credit report.

I have several other things on my report affecting my credit. I just paid off a car loan (but had a lot of late payments so it didn't help my score too much), and also finally got rid of a judgement on my CR from a car accident I had about five years ago.

Any advice?
