Who would have had a bigger career ? Both were cut short due to unfortunate circumstances

The Sky was the limit for both

Had he never got into that accident I'm wondering if the Chronic album would have been just Dre on the boards and D.O.C on the mic (since he wrote all Dres lyrics anyway and Deathrow was originally just D.O.C and Suge....they then went on to recruit Dre)

Imagine Nothing but a G thang with D.O.C and Snoop on vocals instead of Dre

No telling where is career would have went because he was definitely the nicest in the NWA crew, him and Cube were neck and neck but I give D.O.C the slight edge as far as lyricism, Cube had the better subject matter though.

:ohhh:

and Big L would have at the very least reached Camron and Mase's peaks..... which were pretty high (Think ...."Come Home With Me/Diplomatic Immunity/Harlem World 1997" status)

Plus L would have had production from Just Blaze and a young Kanye West since he was going to sign with Rocafella, possibly jumping in that Beef and battling with Nas, The Lox, Mobb Deep etc....

yea imma have to slide with DOC on this one, main reason being that he was already identified and connected with NWA which would make it a lot easier for him to grow his fanbase from there

DOC and it's not close. He was already very successful and had the infrastructure around him to get even bigger with Dre around him. He's written big hit songs.

Big L was struggling but had the Rocafella deal coming up with Herb Mcgruff. He would've been able to piggy back off of that and plus some of Cam's success. But it's more of a crapshoot to try and guess how big he would've gotten and how transcendent the music would be. He would be able to make a lot of money touring though. Eurocacs LOVE Big L and the internet did a lot to spread his legend. Kinda sad to think about how he would still be able to make a great living in 2018 based on work he did before 1999 but isn't here to see it.

Both would probably be successful but I think it would be like comparing 50 to cam. Both were big and legends, one was just on another level. It's hard to say for sure though, since Big L only put out one album while he was alive and his lyrics stand the test of time.

I use to have a list of all the songs he wrote , pretty insane to think he came up with those songs with no voice

When L was still alive, he was touring heavy in Europe during 96, 97 and 98.

DOC was just too gifted at every level of emceeing:wow:
Kind of an insult to make this comparison, the man dropped a classic and contributed to many classics.
If Fabolous and LLoyd Banks didn't come superstars with better tools, and better setups why would Big L?
