Big L and it's not fukking close. The whole DOC thing is so forced.

It's hard to say who would've had a better career. For all I know DOC would've become the next Jay-Z. But the point is that Big L is a vastly superior rapper to DOC on just about every level. Had better production than DOC, had a way better flow, better rhymes, etc. nikkas are not listening to DOC in 2018 and catching the holy ghost :whew: They're just not. Stop forcing it just because of coastal insecurity and Dre affiliation.

It’s gotta be DOC.
He actually made a classic while he was alive with a monster single that got radio and video play all through the 90s in CA.

I’m a much bigger fan of L, but his potential ceiling was Beanie Sigel or Camron. :yeshrug:
DOC potentially would have been all over the second NWA album and then the Chronic. :ohhh:
Deep Cover with DOC and Dre. :ohhh:
Early 90s Dre >>> Kanye and Just Blaze :yeshrug:

ehh

DOC would've had the better career off of NWA inheritance alone.
BUT hes s a bit overrated. most of his style was already dated before he came out. so I'm not gonna assume that he would've duplicated the success of his first album headed into the '90s & beyond, or that he would've sounded good on the death row stuff.

as for big l, I think "lifestyles" would be considered a classic if it came out in '93, like it was supposed to.
BUT his career trajectory gets overstated because of the success of mase & Camron. people assume he would be as big as them, but he didn't have the appeal of those guys. at best, if he signed to the roc, he'd be as big as beans. he doesn't have the appeal of beans neither, but that new York favoritism would've helped even things out between those two.

DOC = better career
big l = better rapper
?????? = better artist overall

DOC also released a classic album with NO CUSSING
Intentionally

Idk I think that’s kinda cool

most '80s albums didn't have any cussing breh.

besides, NWA cursed up a storm on the "grand finale".
