They aren't going to eat if sony keeps production up and puts them out in stores or even more online. People without the extra money to spend on a ps5 will wait until the price and availability changes. If sony isn't lying the scalpers won't make much profit if sony is making it easier to get one.

They're selling em as fast as they can make them. You might get 6/7 million made tops by Christmas. with the last 4/5 million by their goal. The plan was to have 15 million made by March 31st. They are going to blow through that 11 million. The demand ain't stopping at the 11. PS4 was flying off the shelves and wasn't available until mid spring. Gonna be the same at minimum for the 5.

Simple supply and demand. The demand is high. Putting more units into stores will obviously affect the scalpers prices.

Bloomberg said they were planning to make 11 million by March. That story was a lie and it was 2 months ago. Long before the release date.They already sold 22 million since drop day.

No. They playing themselves right now. See. I don’t know if any of u nikkas in here is sneaker heads or not but this is how it works. The reason they make the profit they do consistently on sneakers is because hype sneakers only have a limited run. They don’t KEEP making any type of sneaker honestly. And the people that will go out and spend triple the amount on a sneaker has always been a niche group. The problem is these scalpers got greedy. This ain’t the same situation. Everybody ain’t spending that kinda bread. fukk everybody ain’t GOT that kinda bread to spend. They selling these PS5’s to average Joe’s. They hoarding all these PS5s right now and not able to sell them as fast. And with everybody putting them up for $1500 etc. people ain’t even tryna buy. The sneaker game is all based on exclusivity. PS5 will NEVER stop being produced. Meaning they are 1. Gonna have to stop scalping the new ones and sell the ones they have at one point. Or 2. Gonna have to drop the price on the shyt they have. If they keep buying up all the stock. They gonna take a serious financial L cause people ain’t paying those kinda prices like that. It’s a REASON the scalpers got majority of these consoles and people still barely have 3 people on they friend lists with a console. People aren’t buying these shyts at these crazy prices. These scalpers have NO IDEA how the tech game works and they are honestly eventually gonna be in over their head. What they SHOULDA did was sell these shyts at $750 max and they woulda sold far more of their stockpile. Right now a lot of these consoles is sitting ducks in scalpers cribs or warehouses. And that’s because they jumped out the gate first and got the install base. On top of Sony dropping a $600 console a year later that was hard to develop for. Sony STILL ended up coming back by the end of the gen. Because one thing Sony always had that made them beat consoles more powerful than theirs since the beginning is games.

Real talk I only considered a Xbox back then after Sony announced the PS3 was gonna be $600 and that gta 4 was coming to the Xbox at the same time as Sony and the DLC was coming first. It was never on my radar prior to that.

Sony can sell 15-20+ mil PS5s by March if they wanted to but they are being limited by COVID and its affect on parts and transport

I told Meach they should just sell em for a rack right now and eat. Sitting on dem is very risky. They'll be good until after the holidays until February at least. But comparing to the sneaker game is apples and oranges. There's no limited amount of 5s. They are making them and pumping em out as much as they can. Not making 5 million and calling it a day. Suppliers are constrained as well. You don't think Clorox wants to produce as many wipes as possible. My old company managed the warehouse where the products from the plant was shipped to and then sent to retailers. The demand was too much to keep pumping it out esp with COVID limitations.
