:stopitslime: at there not being an Eminem option.

i dont fukk wit em but truthfully he wasn't a downfall to hiphop at all imo

he was a battle rapper & real spitter when he 1st dropped..

yea he was more successful because of his skin color but vanilla ice blew for that reason 1st, which is why I put him on the list instead

No one will agree on an answer because hip hop means different things to different people
As it should because hip hop in essence is a combination of many art forms with the sole purpose of delivering a message. If the message isn't the one you want to hear then you get upset

i believe it was the master p shyt... wen he started cranking out cookie cutter album after album full of terrible rapping over terrible production... cheap beats became cool/the norm... i thought it got a lil better once 2001 dropped in 1999, but that was so long ago and with no monumental albums coming around to change the course, it has become stagnent and terrble again....

Where's 'When Heller fukked NWA'?
Where's 'When Beastie Boys represented rap'?
Where's 'When Rick Rubin thought it was funny to hold a funeral for the 'Def' in Def American'?
Where's 'The Source 5-mic Gate'?

How you gonna name Will Smith, but not Young MC?

Where's 'When R&B artists thought they were rappers'?

When it became cool to be ignorant

don't misunderstand me, with ignorant I don't mean gun and talk about violence. I mean by the fans supporting and defending dumbed down lyrics and beats

White kids could only take so much pro-black and Fruit of Islam talk, though. :sas2: But the white dudes had stronger stomachs than the white chicks, who only had to hear 'Cave Bytch'.
