It'll end up like Scandinavia where people are paying $13 for a fukking meal to make up for the rise in pay. People in poor/modest neighborhoods aren't about to pay that much for a Big Mac so they'll have to lay employees off or have shorter hours. Then we're right back at square one with an unskilled worker without a job who can't support their family.

There are several types of nurses. RN's and up make guap. Nursing assistants dont make shyt. LPN's make about 16-20 a hour.

The pro-corporation anti-worker attitude in this country is ridiculous. These companies didn't reach the level of success they have in a vacuum. In order to stay competitive they've changed many operational aspects of their business, they invest in new technologies and equipment, all of which require training to be used and maintained properly. The supposed "low skill" worker of today is responsible for way more than they were decades ago.
And being against teens making money is a stupid position to take as well. If they have higher wages of course it vitalizes the local economy and not to mention eases the burden on their parents anyway, which is taxed, unlike some useless exec who'll hide it in some offshore haven.

It's like a modern slave mentality, massa doesn't have that much money to go around. Trillions of dollars a day go through commerce but there's not enough to raise up wages 5-10 dollars
