Not the god. It's a fuking position breh. It's their job is to make money for the stock holders and make the brand successful. If you can't understand that you don't get business. The fast food business model is cheap food and lower wages, meant for people who aren't supporting entire families and meant to be transient short term jobs, not careers.

Listen, if you want more money get a better fuking job. If you can't, better your skills so that you qualify. Literally everyone else in this country does that

Jobs are disappearing since automation and the demise of worker unions are taking place. Not everyone can be some super skilled Engineer or Doctor making less than 50k coming out of school. We need to hold the wealthy accountable for their actions.

Spoken like a true company drone.

"I'll gladly accept being underpaid because I make quite a bit more and are able to look down my nose at fast food workers who can barely survive. They can just get a better job and continue to be underpaid, at least they'll be doing better than they are :manny:"

I love how people continue to fall for the ol "Wages rise, prices will rise muh inflation!" okie doke bs, acting like the cost of living has stayed rising even in the midst of stagnant wages :heh: fukking dumbasses

Dudes will find a way to recoup their losses. They always do. Plus there's no real way to force them to lessen their slice of the pie:manny:.

So why you defending them? They greedy and making the worker irrelevant. Not just in fast food, but everywhere else.

Guess the CEO is god.

There's no use even explaining that shyt breh. People like him are only parroting what they've heard some baby boomer or other old school cat who got theirs while the getting was still good said and would rather spoon feed the newer generations complete bullshyt than open some doors and create opportunities. This isn't like the old days where you could get you a nice paying job fresh out of high school.

Yeah, and that advice is why America will be a banana republic in less than 10 years from now.

This just goes to show you that being in the military as a black person gets you no props from white folks. White men serve tours and get put on a pedestal for the rest of their lives. When the black man gets wounded and tries to file for disability/VA benefits, he's being a bum.

I remember before the recession when the military raved about military experience on your record giving you a huge leg up. These days all it gets you is an edge over the civilian for a $10 a hour job, like a Non-Stem Degree.:jbhmm:

It's a joke that the minimum wage is $7.25 but its not hitting $15 anytime soon, not even in 2025. Matter of fact, by 2025 then I wouldn't be surprised if his frycook position no longer exists.

I would suggest in the short term he goes all-out for an even lower paying job ($2.13) at a restaurant where his personality + skills will really show and he'll be rewarded in $10-$15+ an hour in tips until he can get his own business going where he can demand his own hourly wage.

Gawd wtf lol Who's fat and drinking Yoo-hoo? Lol because someone disagrees with you they are fat? You sound logical.

I'm not hating. Seriously good for him for working for his kids. But I'm just saying, you want a better wage work in a better job. Common fukking sense dummy. Why does that hurt you? Why are you really mad? Everyone should really be asking why the military didn't offer him benefits to help his lot in life, or if offered why he didn't take advantage of it.

But what does the wealthy have to do with wages for lower level jobs? Anywhere in the world you are not going to see fast food cooks making the same as an engineer. It's a skills and income match. It doesn't compute. I understand that we do need to hold tthe wealthy accountable for criminal wealth hoarding, but fast food wages doesn't connect with that. A kid who went to my high school had a father who owned three burger kings in the town. They were middle class. They weren't fat cats. Raising the minimum wage would hurt these kind of business owners, not the CEOS. You think big business would cut into profit to pay employees? No. They'll raise the price of goods to keep profit margins the same. THats how it is. They need to make profit and keep shareholders happy. That's capitalism.

Fast food is cheap because labor is cheap- that's their business model. To pay more the food will cost more. If it costs more the demand for quality will rise and that would mean the end of fast food (a good thing?). If the min wage went up across the the board, the cost of living would rise like it always has. If you men are talking about wages in NYC then I get it. The cost of living there is high, so raising the wage of lower level employees isn't going to do much to negatively affect the economy- similar to how it's been working in Seattle. but across the country? I don't think it would have the same effect.

If you want to talk about fair wages, fast food isn't the medium.

If people want to cook why not go somewhere better? You'd make more at a sit down restaurant waiting tables or cooking than you would at kfc. People have choices.

We can. It's called boycotting spending goods from their corporations.
What would work better is people refusing to work in fast food. That would force them to revaluate their business model if they want to survive. I still don't think they'd compensate $15 an hour. 15 is too high unless you're in a major expensive city. but a little higher than 8.75 wouldn't hurt everywhere else
