The problem with the Pacers is that their margin for error is ridiculously small, they have a great defense but their offense is horrific, they are 27th in FG% and 29th in PPG.

If the Heat do even a semi average job of keeping them off the offensive boards they won't be able to win.

Granger not playing this whole season prolly has somethin to do with this

He should be back in a week or so

They averaged 97ppg with Granger last year, 92ppg this year without him and they were 24th in the league for FG% last year .438% (.431 this year).

Defensively they have been better without him, so he'll improve their offense slightly and make their defense worse. I think their matchup with the Heat is a bit overstated, they present problems but the Bulls team two years ago was better than this Pacers team.

They'er not the greatest rebounding team, but its a lil misleading.

A couple things to take into consideration.

1. Defenisve rebounding, they're middle of the pack. So whats really hurting thier rebounding numbers is offensive rebounding.

2. Their offensive rebounding number is misleading too, becasue their the most efficent offens up thier, so they have less opportunities for offensive rebounding. Nobody does more than what their capable of in that offensive scheme. Everybody knows their role and more imporatly their range and hwere they should be on the floor.

3. Byrdman. I assume he'll be signed fore the rest of the season. And he's a monster on the offensive boards. I wanted Houston to sign him so bad.

Rebounding shouldnt be an issue for them going down. They wont have to rely on Battier for crucial rebounds anymore

This is false they're almost dead last in defensive boards, offensive boards are overrated i agree

I blame Erik Spoelstra and the garbage small lineups he uses all the time

Small lineups is how y'all won a title :yeshrug:

that whole segment with Haberstroh was unbearable as fukk...this dude talking about the amount of miles a player runs per game signifying their importance and shyt...i agreed with Stugotz, just let me watch the fukkin game and leave this nerd shyt out of it

I agree.

In some aspects it'd be nice, as far as touches go ... but that's something I'd want to read after game. And touches are about the only one I'd care to know. The miles per game was stupid.

The only 2 teams that have a shot at beating mia is a healthy bulls team and the knicks

Pacers are good but don't have the impact players that can go toe to toe vs bron and wade. George is close but he not there yet. If hibbert decided to dominate the pacers could beat the heat. But he got his money and fell back.

What people don't realize is that miami will compensate for their lack of rebounding by creating turnovers beating you in transition, keeping the game close, then letting bron and wade close that shyt out.

To counter you need players who can drop buckets right with those 2 and granger and george have not shown me they will do that.

The knicks can beat mia on the boards, they have guards the heat won't rattle and they got 2 guys who can drop buckets with bron and wade, melo and jr

The bulls have the same but their other star player besides rose is the coaching and the defense and 2nd chance points. Rose, jimmy, deng.com taj and noah is going to be very difficult for mia to score on. We have to hope rose is on fresh legs which he will be, and when mia take the ball out his hands jimmy deng and taj can hit big shots. That's still in question if they can

if hibbert woke up and decided to be a real center the pacers would increase their chances to get out the east tremendously.

but hibbert wont wake up and command the paint.

collison was a true point who could control the flow of the offense. but they shipped him out. dj and george hill will get the clamps put on them in the offs.

and george, granger and west are good players but not dynamic enough to devastate the heat bulls or knicks. they need a legit superstar and i dont know if george is that yet.

in the east yeah.

The Heat vs the Clippers in the Finals would be interesting.

Was telling a friend this last week before they played, and he looked at me like a genius when they won.

They're probably the only real threat to Miami in the East.

:heh: lack of a real closer is going to expose them once again come playoff time . The Knicks can shoot 3's , don't turn the ball over ( huge in beating Miami ) and can outrebound Miami . Not to mention melo can put pressure on bron
