Abiy has tried to get Sudan to close borders to Tigray to stop logistical supplies, but Sudan is keep it open until they get a commitment from Abiy on the Fashqa disputed territory.

They also say if Abiy agrees to make territorial concessions to Sudan, Amhara politicians around him will be angry and may turn on him

Also mentions how Eritrea can use Beja in Sudan to destabilize them if they support TPLF Eastern Sudan has had a lot of ethnic tensions lately.

He said some Eritrean soldiers—principally from the Beni Amer and related tribes—have refused to fight and defected into Kassala state in Sudan. this part is interesting. I wonder if the Tigrays have some sort backing and know isaias is vulnerable or they just big balls to attack Asmara
