I think too many Black men these days are thinking way too hard about what it is to be a man or whether or not people (women in particular) see them as one.
I'm 27 and right before and after I became a man, I've never for once ever sat there stressing myself out on whether or not if I'm a man, or am I an alpha/beta, or whether I'm doing things that makes me look like a man in the eyes of others/women.
I just went with the flow the moment I turned 21 and let everything set in stone on its own, now currently at 27, I still have never felt the need to validate or question my manhood on superficial shyt that too many bruhs out here are stressing, obsessing, and thinking too hard over this type of shyt.
