Yep and if this was the NBA with all those problems..OMG. Cacs would be shytting themselves. Cacs will tell you quick they don't watch the NBA because the players are "thugs and selfish"....yet have no problem watching the NFL with Big Ben and Richie Ingonito and all the fukkery the NFL has.

basketball is a better sport than football PERIOD. the only reason the nfl is so popular is cause cacs still control it in the power positions. if every starting qb was black and almost every coach, watch how quickly its popularity evaporates. it would die.

But the NFL ratings are high because they play once a week you can't compete with that when you playing 82 games every other day. Can you imagine if the NBA played once a week. Ratings would go sky high. And NBA playoffs >>>>>NFL playoffs. The Superbowl is often times fukking boring. The week long celebration and halftime show are more interesting than the damn game. I'll take Game 7 Conference Finals or Finals any day.

pretty much if the nba played once a week and only had 16 games in 50k stadiums you can't really compare the two

the same how people talk about baseball players making so much money, and tv deals etc. but they play 162 games a year

162 games of live content, 81 home games to fill stadiums etc.

The league was good for those who love basketball. In terms of globalizing the league to the extent Nike and the NBA has been able to pull off today, you need a Lebron. The Lebron constant drama keeps the casual fan interested. The NFL has the casual fan locked up with gambling and fantasy(a much more constant source long term)

i'm guessing you white. maybe to u cacs, hatin on bron motivates your interest in the nba. but all thru middle school and high school (00-05), nikkas i grew up with fukked with the nba first and foremost. hell most days we spend talking at lunch about the games the night before. ai, kobe, t-mac, vince. those nikkas were bigger than bron is today back then in the hood.

The NFL isnt going anywhere. But as the rules get more and more ridiculous (in terms of hits and celebrations), as they build more souless stadiums (with more private boxes), the only sport I could see coming at the throne would be soccer.
I've never seen anything like the worldcup this summer. Every bar was packed to capacity, and cities were showing the games with thousands of people watching it. If somehow they could create that level of excitement every year it would def catch up. I know most of the excitement was due to usa having an ok team and that the world cup is a rare event. IF the USA could actually get some actual superstars that played in the MLS it would be a huge. Cuz now all their stars are either at this stage, or barely avg when comparing them to the rest of the world.
