basketball is a better sport than football PERIOD. the only reason the nfl is so popular is cause cacs still control it in the power positions. if every starting qb was black and almost every coach, watch how quickly its popularity evaporates. it would die.

Basketball is a better sport, but nba is an awful example of great basketball. Why should I watch nba if I want to watch b-ball? I'd rather watch College.

No friend. I'll post more. If you want to turn the coli into an enyclopedia we can list sources. Google something and use the first result as the absolute truth. There's no way you actually believe that most people who watch the NBA are black.

Pretty obvious it's not clear cut NBA is black america's #1 sport so your whole little rant is misguided. As a black dude who feels NFL >>> NBA can't let it slide. There's nothing CAC about being an NFL fan.

so i posted a link to an article from a reputable website and you post some a image of a random poll?

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
In order for the NBA to actually globalize like you believe it has, they'd need teams in those countries. Or set up an NBA Europe or whatever.

That is the long term goal for the NBA, setting up teams in other countries. I haven't said it has globalized, it's in the process of doing that and you can see it in the up tick in players coming from other countries. You think it's just a coincidence that this has happened -

On opening day of the 1991–92 season, NBA rosters included 23 international players from 18 countries. At the start of the 2013–14 season, there were 92 players from 39 countries and territories.

And you're kidding yourself if you dont think the NBA isnt completely dependent on the Lebron storylines. The league would be fukked if Lebron suffered George's injury. Completely fukked.

The NBA survived losing Jordan, it'll get over the loss of LeBron. You're putting too much on 1 player, like I said before, there are places where that doesn't even register, simply the love of the game :yeshrug: The globalizing is coming from players from those countries making it to the league, look at Sim Bhullar getting signed to the Kings, the owner is Indian and wants to make inroads into India and grow the game there, what better way than having the first Indian basketball player on the roster :mjpls:

If you love the game you love the game. I love both sports, I happen to love football more. I think the my sport is more globally popular than your sport arguments are a bit silly tbh...I dont think it's a coincidence that it's happened....but the league here still hasnt fully embraced the international guys other than the Spurs. The Coli looks at Lin as a joke basically.

As far as surviving after Lebron...they'll need another Lebron. Can the NBA have the biggest athlete of all time three times in a row? Lebron and Jordan falling back to back...that's a coincidence.

i really hate white people.

Drop that stupid cac shyt, I'm black, and nba is :trash: You don't know how to critique or talk like an adult, so the only thing you can rely on is accusing people of being white because you're a fukking dumbass.

Too many games, so it feels like a goddamn investment
Too much star drama
Too much emphasis on stars and not teams
Ghetto ass league full of queens like Dwight Howard who can't fukking choose what team they want to play for
fukking coward ass dynasty teams. so many teams now are trying to build dynasty teams rather than a solid base
Most of the "talent" are bums who make for bad basketball
Most teams are :trash: and wasted, making competition god awful. The east conference is so :mjlol: and this leads to predictability in who will play in the finals

:trash:

The league has embraced international guys, of the top 5 guys in the draft this year, 3 of them were foreigners. The coli looks at Lin as a joke, but Taiwan and China don't, he's a huge star there because he's more realistic in size than Yao Ming, he gives hope to Asian guards.

I know the league has no problems drafting them, but I don't know how much these guys are influencing the league being popular in their home countries...they buy their jersey I'm sure. How far does it go..you may know better than me idk. The league woul dneed to have a team in China, Brazil etc to truly become globalized and I doubt that's feasible with an 82 game schedule.

actually I'm kinda liking this....this whole Ray Rice fiasco exposed just how reactive Goddell is to the media

now that they actually got legit dirt on the league they can really exert pressure, maybe it could be a step toward finally being rid of him as comish :yeshrug:

I think the internet is going to change all that breh, the ultimate goal will be to get a team in those countries, but in the meantime Adam Silver is trying to accommodate markets like China with earlier start times for games in the future. Basketball is constantly growing in popularity around the world, it's now the 2nd most popular sport in France of all places, 3rd in Brazil, of the top 10 economies in the world it's top 3 in all of them except India. That is just huge no matter how you cut it and part of the reason the NBA is like :yeshrug: with it's place in the US.

PS. How long before they remove that "Home of Ray Rice" sign from the Hollows in New Ro :russ:

What?? The NBA was not NHL status in the early 2000s with the Laker 3 peat, prime Duncan and the Spurs, cats like Shaq, Kobe, Duncan, Tmac, Iverson, Garnett, Nash, and Vince Carter in their primes still.

All the Jordan people were whining but the league was still good.

i'm guessing you white. maybe to u cacs, hatin on bron motivates your interest in the nba. but all thru middle school and high school (00-05), nikkas i grew up with fukked with the nba first and foremost. hell most days we spend talking at lunch about the games the night before. ai, kobe, t-mac, vince. those nikkas were bigger than bron is today back then in the hood.

nba had 2 of the lowest rated finals ever in 03 and 05.. no one wanted to watch the gay ass spurs.

nba was good back then as far as having one man teams.. but as other dude mentioned mainly die hards were interested. kobe and shaq had interest but by the end of their 3 peat everyone knew the east was too weak and the WCF were the real finals.

plus scoring was so low they had to change all the rules. then he run and gun suns came about
don't let nostalgia fool you casuals started tuning in again once the super teams (celtics, heat) started forming.. die hards always watched though
