Hope rob know what he doing idk

You think having a defensive liability at center helps them? Idk maybe I'm spoiled but I wouldn't want him on the court watching tape. He's enes kanter bad on defense. He shows no effort and is like 2 steps slow.
You can make this case for every Hornets player.

Bad environment breeds bad habits.

Everything is gonna look worse than it is when you're a young cat and you're on a losing team. All their players this season have had inconsistent effort. There's simply no direction with that Hornets squad. They show effort on offense to get theirs, but treat defense with a lick and a promise.

And what you're saying about him is not entirely untrue, but they only gave up Knecht (who's a defensive liability, himself) and Reddish, both whom are superfluous to what they need. Getting a legitimate big to strengthen their frontcourt, whilst giving up the bare minimum, is a step in the right direction.

Claxton just signed a $100m deal.

The Lakers don't have the financial means to make a trade like that work. Not unless they were willing to part with more depth, which would be counterproductive because then it would depreciate the ceiling of the squad.

:usure:

Hayes is a garbage man. Mark has an infinitely better offensive skillset, not just scoring, but he's a lot smarter too in making the right play. Defensively, he does struggle, but his issues as exacerbated being on a bad team. If the Lakers are controlling and dominating a game, there's going to be fewer possessions where he's exposed.
Yep, all the other available Centers are making 10 mil+.

I think Mark is still in his rookie contract for the next 2 years. He's the best center available for his production making 5 mil.

They're taking a risk because he has injury issues and his motor isn't the highest. But he can turn it around playing meaningful games and with better coaching.

They probably could’ve gotten Gafford for that package added in the original Luka trade. Dallas ain’t keeping all those bigs on the roster.
After AD came out publically and said he doesn't want to play the 5, even as dumb as Nico is, I don't think he would've given up Gafford, only to make AD play the 5, fulltime.

It could've easily backfired too if Rob pushed for Gafford and Nico had a change of heart.

I said it in the Lakers thread… Rob has to go semi all in cause Luka needs to stay. He’s not guaranteed and if the Lakers sat on their hands there’s a potential he won’t resign

If Luka got handed a contract in the offseason and he said “nah I’ll wait” Lakers would probably have to trade him before the deadline

Dalton is not gonna give you min in a win now playoff scenario. He’s atrocious on the defensive end. Like real fukn bad.

Gotta roll the dice with letting him go

The overpay is the 31 pick, but with Luka idk how valuable that pick is

Lakers can trade for prime Kareem and @Loose would say it’s a bad trade.

I think it’s a bit of an overpay in terms of picks but he’s going to be good for us.
Pelinka with no Klutch influence gon cook. He traded most of the 2020 team, for Westbrook, corrected that error and bounced back. Kobe recomended him for a reason. I use to doubt Rob. Not anymore.

Often injured don't want to pay him what his value is cant blame them i wouldn't either

Sucks for lamelo but they got assets

He’s going to be on a BS team for a LONG time unless the Hornets find a way to become like the Spurs and turn it around in 2 seasons.

Not happening.

Dude better hope one of these knee jerk ass teams find a way to pull the trigger to bring him on board
