I'm telling you now, the league is pissed Charlotte traded us Mark Williams. he can ball! And Luka and Lebron are gonna do wonders for him.
Besides LaMelo, Mark was playing with bums in Charlotte on a terrible team. And when healthy he was balling out. This was a great trade. I like Knecht, but his value was inflated. A lot of games Knecht was finishing with 6 points.

Hornets clearly won't his trade. Best value trade during the deadline. They actually got a player who can get buckets and will be in the league for next 10 years, plus a 1st + pick swap. Additionally, they added no salary to do this.
Only purple-colored glasses Lakers fans can act like Lakers won this deal. Hornets got a shooting SF and gonna draft a big in this draft to replace the impact, if any, Williams had with them.

No one is mad you got a man named Mark Williams. You traded away a big for an overlapping position (small forward) and then traded draft capital to replace that big.
The real question is, will Pelinka let LeBron walk/retire for nothing in 2026 or do the right thing and force him to lift his NTC and move him in off-season to get assets?

We cant be worried about no 2031 1st rounder now that we got Luka. Dalton is just a rookie too, i think people are holding on to him too tight.
I'd say slight overpay, not a big one. We're making the type of moves a team with a 25 year old franchise player makes
