I think it's to fly past any controversy between critics and/or public. Doing a live action film of this nature would of caused an uproar of controversy from all fronts.

Just came back from the movie, had me dying. The joke-a-minute pacing was perfect, so many great jokes. Favorite though had to be Morgan Freeman:

This film has so many levels. From is meta-ness to its art tricks. Also they ended up making the best ONLY Justice League film we'll ever see.

The first 20 minutes are ridiculous! The way President Business named the nail polish remover...one of the best jokes of the movie for me.

All of it was hilarious ... the Cra-kel, ... what he called the band aid again

Check the silent film, "Metropolis". It heavily relays to that movie. Also, there's a lot of 1984 and A Brave New World themes in it too. There's also conflicting analogies of being an independent thinker & individualism vs. constructive teamwork. It most definitely flashes a mirror of our own society and it's blissful ignorance towards a more fascist government that we live in. Too consume and complacent in our own bubble where we're programmed to listen to the repetitive pop song, the cheesy reality show, go about our everyday lives while cameras are watching us at all times. Dismissive to whutever our government is really doing behind the scenes.
