All the original programming mostly moved to streaming. Look at wrestling this year. So yeah sports is heavily needed by cable. Even still tho, NBA and NHL were both on MAX, MLB has their own streaming service and NFL has a weekly game on peacock. I think other than sports & maybe a random movie or rerun of a show i enjoy, not much of my viewing is on cable. If it's late night or during the day with no sports or wrestling on, I might browse to see if any old movies are on since those are better than shyt from recent times, if not I'll just turn on a streaming service. Not much else worth checking on cable. So many channels but many don't have shyt most of the time.
Not counting streaming or who knows if dvr numbers watched later are, but AEW typically gets about a million viewers a week which is decent numbers for cable programming, especially during primetime hours.
