group texts/mass emails (especially when you include everyone you know, at least break it down into groups of mutual friends) wishing people happy [insert holiday here] or sharing some other "touching" message are beyond annoying to me. technology has already impersonalized communication and relationships, making it a "group thing" only makes it worse. if you really feel inclined to show appreciation or share your thoughts with me, then contact me directly. i make it a point to reach out to those i really want to contact PERSONALLY, which is why 458498503 people don't hear from me on holidays/birthdays/etc.
