Tell her you would love to hang out with her and her daughter but only if you two are working towards reconciliation. I think a good number of single mothers, myself included, like the idea of portraying a "family" out in public, but that doesn't mean she's ready for y'all to be together. Since you've been around her daughter before it could be that it's just easier because she's already familiar with you. Kind of like when you want to have sex so you choose someone you've been with before as to not increase your body count.

Nah I'm good I just had one too many of those double shot star bucks things with protein 3 and no food on my stomach and some random candy that was left for me on my desk. My boss knows whats up so they don't think I'm high or anything like that, they just having a good laugh. The crash on this is probably going to be really bad though.
