Same thing happened on my side as a seller. It worked out fine. As long as the number isn't drastic and you are committed you can work through it.Soon after I posted this I got word the house appraised for less than offerI don't think it should effect settlement though...I hope not

It was less than $3k but there were other things we had worked out in regards to repairs and a lower offer impacts that. I'm just likeSame thing happened on my side as a seller. It worked out fine. As long as the number isn't drastic and you are committed you can work through it.
I'm also mad because my original offer was $142k and them fukkers rejected it.So you let them slide on some repairs because of the lower offer? It was less than $3k but there were other things we had worked out in regards to repairs and a lower offer impacts that. No. I was only allowed up to 3% in seller concessions for my type of loan. The seller had all the other repairs completed but the plumber they wanted to use wasn't available to fix the issues until after settlement. Instead of pushing back settlement, they gave me $850 to do the repairs on my own. The $850 along with the seller help they gave me took me $100 over the 3% I was allowed, so they were just going to pay an additional $100 of the transfer taxes to balance it out. Well now that the offer price is lower, that 3% number is lower. I told them to keep the $850 for the plumbing and just give me the rest in seller help. I'll probably just have to pay more in closing costs. So you let them slide on some repairs because of the lower offer?
How hot was the market on the home?
