Every time I think I got these cacs down, they go and do something to reinforce white stereotypes. We had a baking contest at work, I made some apple/pear crumble cuz I know white folks like apple pie type shyt, these nikkas gave first place to some breezy who used boxed cake mix, dyed it green, and dumped some minty whipped cream on it

I've been finding some really good financial articles in magazines in waiting areas and the magazines are in my possession; I was practically begged to take them. My dentist said "Go through the stack and take them all". I almost took her up on that.

Already started working on my New year resolutions, fukk 21st December, the earth aint ending yet. so many places to see, things to do, love life

that went much better than i thought it would. very friendly guy, wasn't grilling me at all. he genuinely just wanted to know about me, my background and experience, what kind of opportunity i'm looking for, etc. very casual cool convo, and it looks like something that could actually pan out given what we discussed. i played up all our commonalities really well, same alma matter, both LI guys, about the same age and married w kids.
i was a mess of anxiousness last night though. left my holiday party in less than an hour after having a diet coke and glass of water. went home and stayed up all night studying the firm, their strategy, some key market notes relating to what they do. couldn't sleep at all from my nerves going.
looking forward to that bottle of flowers tonight and being passed out before 10pm.

what do you do?
i work in finance. i'm a trader with experience in various products, everything from rates/money markets, to fx, to credit and equity derivatives. i'm a jack of many trades but master of few to none. that is probably part of the reason i've had a hard time finding a new opportunity that fits the last few years i've been looking. i'm seasoned well enough that i couldn't settle for entry level salary, but not enough of an expert in any one product area that warrants the type of money i'd need to leave my current job. i'm just bored as fukk here
