Very smart! Both husband and wife should have their owns savings and homes as far as I'm concerned and it shouldn't be a secret.
I'm getting unemployment, so the 10% is a semi-manual process. I track my income/expenses via spreadsheet, so the making the calculation is easy. Navy Federal is my "operating" account and I have two accounts linked to it where I'm easily able to transfer the money.
With the new bill that passed, if I understood correctly, I could be paid a lesser amount, but the system for my state says something else, so I forecast potential payments based on both amounts and I'm comfortable on the lower amount, so anything above that is going to savings as well. I'll know by Thursday.
When I start earning regular income, I have a bi-weekly target that I would be comfortable on and hopefully whatever employer allows the flexibility to add/remove my own direct deposit accounts without going through HR. I used make changes ALL the time

"Hey Susan, please find the form attached for the following updates..." I would write step by step instructions.

Don't fukk this up, Susan. I'm going to be on that ass.
