bought a truck in Louisiana paid state taxes there

got it registered in Texas today after having a temp tag and was supposed to pay about $1300 for the difference in taxes but ole girl at the tax accessors office hooked me up where i didnt have to pay cause her husband was in the military too

It's just amazing to me the transformation of America and how it went from a society of self-independence to a society of idiot-savants. In other words, in the older days, we were built in a fashion to where you sustained yourself. Now, we are trained to be 'specialists', or in other words, cogs in someone else's machine. It has produced a lot of wealth, but it also makes me wonder what will happen when we have too many 'cogs' and not enough machines to put them in. We have all these students with degrees and a whole lot of debt to go along with it, but a lot of them can't find jobs. If society collapses, what will those people who never learned basic survival skills like hunting, farming, etc. do? It's interesting to think about it, but too much civilization has made us weak. If there was no electricity for a year, much of society would be as helpless as babies. I think I'm going to start reading and learning more 'survival skills' just to have them.

It won't take a prepaid card unless it is one of those "reloadable types" that have been registered under your (or someone's) name and/or has a PIN.
