I agree that Tomlin would he hired right away if the Steelers fired him because of pure win-loss record. And he has won a lot of games. I’m not saying I definitely want him fired. But y’all gotta understand that he is not an elite coach by any means. Talent has masked his shortcomings for a long time.

If you watch every snap of every game, you realize these guys underachieve, play stupid, and make the same mistakes over and over again, across games, across weeks, across YEARS. Have had the best offensive roster in the league for half a decade and can’t get any traction in the playoffs. They basically take weeks off when the opponent isn’t interesting, only being able to play hard when their backs are against the wall. They’ve been running horrible defensive schemes over and over, etc. I mean how many times do you let Brady pick apart your zone until you attempt something different? Constantly running out 2 DL and rushing 3 with horrible DBs, allowing QBs to play pitch and catch over and over. And nothing ever changes. Don’t get it twisted - the Steelers defense isn’t bad just because of the players. It’s bad scheme and has been *for years* and they seem to act like there’s nothing they can do to adjust, they just go out and stubbornly keep trying to do the same shyt that doesn’t work. The defense is flat out bad and Tomlin is supposed to be a guru. It’s disappointing as hell to see this window of having the best offense on paper just slam shut because the defense hasn’t been able to stop anything or anyone for 7 years.

I do acknowledge that Ben can play stupid as hell and make horrible mistakes as well. But in terms of the impact on the team winning, Ben has also won a lot of games for us, and his mistakes are a drop in the bucket compared to the absolute shyt show our defense has been. It’s downright embarrassing

I've said this for years now and feel like I'm spitting a goddamn script since I've repeated it so often.

I used to let Mike being a cool ass brother blind me into thinking he's a good coach but he's not.

It's fukked up that white coaches like Jeff fisher & Jon gruden can get & keep their jobs just cause they look the part so I have no problem with Tomlin getting a longer leash like the white underachievers do and hope he's given a long contract, I just hope that happens on another team...let him go to a team with lower expectations and he'll be set for life.

The fukkery of racism and sports talk. Tomlin has has ONE FOURTH A BAD SEASON and people are talking about firing him and losing the locker room. It took cowher 14 years to win one. Went 3 seasons with no playoffs. Had 2 6/10 seasons. But Tomlin needs to go huh? fukk out of here.

Can’t believe they saying he lost the locker room. That’s asinine. The front office lost the locker room with the way they have treated their star players for YEARS now. How is Tomlin supposed to get his players to be okay with the team’s best player sitting out indefinitely because ownership is jerking him around over money he obviously deserves? This isn’t even the first time they’ve fukked with Le’veon Bell.

Steelers have run amuck. He's been too loose and has lost the locker room. Either start over and rebuild or replace him

This this THIS

He tried it one way, but he has to do it another way. He is a great head coach but is missing one thing, with the Steelers he won't ever get it, unless you rebuild. Team is way too good to do that so you have to move on. It's a win win for both side.

I want Tomlin to stay with this team but the players know it's their team, they can do they please. If Tomlin tried to change it today, they'd rebel against him, you can't rebuild because this team could be great. So unfortunately you move on, let him go somewhere where he can put his foot down and get someone in here who won't stand for the bullshyt. Only thing this team is missing is discipline

So be it then, Tomlin would get another job just like that.

Not his fault they won't pay leveon, not his fault his best lb is learning how to walk again. Not his fault they have a old decaying qb with 5 ints and 4 fumbles in. 4 games

28th in rushing yards a game when you had the third leading rusher last year
31st in defense

He's 46 with 125 wins and nearly a 70 percent winning percentage

IF youre a cac you can be a Sean Payton with one playoff appearqnce in the past 4 years or John harbough below .500 coach in the past 4 years
Sean payton won a SB more recently than tomlin so not the best example. Plus he lost a season due to bountygate

Tomlin has also had the luxury of a hof qb his whole career when that goes away things won’t be as easy. Having a hof qb in this era of the nfl basically gives you a shot to contend every year.

Cowher got to the afc title game every year with the likes of Neil O Donnel and Kordell Stewart

If he had Big Ben on those 90 teams he’d have a few more Super Bowls

Maybe, but the Patriots do exist and those 90s teams had DEFENSE with TALENT.

These Steeler teams have great offensive talent (with Laveon, not without), but are TRASH on defense.

Who are compared with who you are up against. Denver & New England have been to Super Bowls since Steelers. Steelers on paper had better players. Tomlin needs to be better prepared in the playoffs

Brady and Manning were/are better QBs than Big Ben. I think people are generally overrating the talent on the 53 man roster for the Steelers as well. Very top heavy with talent, but that's simply not enough. The defense shouldn't completely collapse because Shazier got hurt

Tomlin made the decision to hold on to Troy & the other veterans too long on defense but offensive talent wise the Steelers have been miles ahead of New England & Denver. How long has Brown, Bell, & Ben been together? Brady changes guys yearly & goes to the super bowl. No excuses.

Think he'd find a job pretty quickly. Kinda like Andy Reid. Certain coaches will always have a job.

Steelers D has fallen off something terrible though. They've been unable to replace the great players they lost. Can't believe the Steelers have such a porous D.
Facts.

With that record and a Super Bowl? He's good.

This pr firm fake created outrage is so obviously fabricated to drive numbers.

Wish it did not come to this.
to just get pr planted marketing numbers for Steelers national coverage games. Yet it is what it is.

Every year is always like this with wack losses at the beginning.
I have had to sit through bears fans usually having bragging rights over me all the time to draw emphasis to early wtf losses. This has become the norm for any real Steelers fan. I am glad we get the nationally televised game a while bunch. Yet this whole Tomlin in trouble fake narrative needs to be rewritten over.

Art Barr

You can't be a real Steelers Fan and be talking this Tomlin negative shyt, at all.

Steelers are fine.

We just don't have dynamic CB and safety play like usual for the past like four years and especially since no troy is not out there. We have sat through numerous years since troy was not out there and watched the secondary and overall team play ramp over the season. Till we get hosed in the regular season and championship game by the pats.
Which is the real discussion, that should be pr'd if anything from steeler country.
All this fake false narrative bullshyt for Tomlin has to be fabricated. It can't be indicative of real long term Steelers fans.
Nor internally.
If it is internal, internally they must have had a case of amnesia and how this typically goes for the Steelers.
