Ben is on the decline. Going through this losing season and drafting a top 10 qb would be perfect for that franchise. Steelers don’t fire good coaches. Tomlin would just leave or step down

Yep,
Jimmy Graham
Hicks

and a few others. The funny thing about that... It started a Do Your Job tag for the next year, because the internal issues of players calling out coaches. At the end of the day, Most of the coaches got fired/let go on SP team and Defense.

Think he'd find a job pretty quickly. Kinda like Andy Reid. Certain coaches will always have a job.

Steelers D has fallen off something terrible though. They've been unable to replace the great players they lost. Can't believe the Steelers have such a porous D.

Steelers have run amuck. He's been too loose and has lost the locker room. Either start over and rebuild or replace him
i don't believe this bullshyt about him losing the locker room AT ALL. Just because there is turmoil in the locker room because of the Leveon situation doesn't mean his team has tuned him out or turned their backs. Rapistburger is a grade A a$$hole he been wanting Tomlin gone for the longest. His defense is ass and the team is void of talent minus a few key positions on offense.

Stop recycling cac talking points :camby:

How you gonna ROFL with a hollow back?
I’m thinking with the “Rooney rule” in effect, the Steelers are kind of tied to coaches of color moving forward. As much as respect the rule, fukk the Steelers, for life

tomlin would be like bruce boudreau who got fired by the caps on a monday and the wednesday of the same week anaheim fired randy caryle and hired boudreau to be their head coach.

I agree that Tomlin would he hired right away if the Steelers fired him because of pure win-loss record. And he has won a lot of games. I’m not saying I definitely want him fired. But y’all gotta understand that he is not an elite coach by any means. Talent has masked his shortcomings for a long time.

If you watch every snap of every game, you realize these guys underachieve, play stupid, and make the same mistakes over and over again, across games, across weeks, across YEARS. Have had the best offensive roster in the league for half a decade and can’t get any traction in the playoffs. They basically take weeks off when the opponent isn’t interesting, only being able to play hard when their backs are against the wall. They’ve been running horrible defensive schemes over and over, etc. I mean how many times do you let Brady pick apart your zone until you attempt something different? Constantly running out 2 DL and rushing 3 with horrible DBs, allowing QBs to play pitch and catch over and over. And nothing ever changes. Don’t get it twisted - the Steelers defense isn’t bad just because of the players. It’s bad scheme and has been *for years* and they seem to act like there’s nothing they can do to adjust, they just go out and stubbornly keep trying to do the same shyt that doesn’t work. The defense is flat out bad and Tomlin is supposed to be a guru. It’s disappointing as hell to see this window of having the best offense on paper just slam shut because the defense hasn’t been able to stop anything or anyone for 7 years.

I do acknowledge that Ben can play stupid as hell and make horrible mistakes as well. But in terms of the impact on the team winning, Ben has also won a lot of games for us, and his mistakes are a drop in the bucket compared to the absolute shyt show our defense has been. It’s downright embarrassing

All this whike Big Ben continues to decline, missing on throws, throwing untimely picks, while facing zero blame
This. Every fukking year Tomlin takes the blame for Ben's subpar play. Ben was whiffing on so many easy fukking throws in last night's game. Ben has been inconsistent his entire career but was lucky enough to play with HOFers on the other side of the ball.

Steelers won't fire Tomlin. If anything they'd make Tomlin step down. The true answer is breaking up the big 3 of Ben, Bell and Brown. I'd say Ben, but Steelers haven't developed a capable backup all these years Ben has played; they have no plan for when he leaves, so they won't do it. Ben is the one who fukks up, not Tomlin.

They ran into a lot of bad luck with personnel despite building a good core these past few years.

Tomlin not the problem they lowkey need to rebuild. Or at least go ham on defense next offseason and draft a new qb
